Those middle-aged and elderly people who were deceived may not have thought that the "professor-level doctors" who chatted with them on WeChat were actually a group of young girls and boys, the youngest of whom was only 16 years old.

On January 10, under the unified command of the Provincial Public Security Department, the police of Xianning City and Jiayu County organized more than 60 police forces to carry out a network collection operation against four telecommunications network fraud dens hidden in a building in Jiang'an District of Wuhan City, arresting a total of 72 criminal suspects and involving more than 10 million yuan.

Xiong Yong, instructor of the Jiayu County Criminal Investigation Brigade, said that the bureau sent 4 policemen to squat at suspicious dens for 24 consecutive hours before collecting the net, and a nearby Traditional Chinese medicine clinic attracted the attention of the police. After careful investigation and squatting, the police found that the gang attracted the victims to the bait through the early pop-up window advertisement. Once someone consults through the pop-up window, these employees will pretend to be doctors, professors, and old Chinese medicine practitioners to accept health consultations from customers on WeChat. Then they were given prescriptions and sold fake and shoddy aphrodisiacs at high prices, so that many middle-aged and elderly people across the country were deceived.

"This TCM clinic is exactly the telecom network fraud den that everyone is looking for!"

In accordance with the unified deployment of the Provincial Public Security Department, at 10:30 a.m. on January 10, the special police decided to close the net.

Xiong Yong introduced that when the net was closed, due to the large number of arrests, the police force increased to 60 people. The police grouped up to surround the dens and arrest them.

During the arrest, a middle-aged woman prepared to escape, and while running, she called to ventilate the message, and the police chased and intercepted the arrest of the breathless woman. After investigation, the woman was a backbone member of the gang.

At 5 p.m. on the same day, 72 suspects were escorted to Jiayu for investigation.

According to reports, among the 72 people, except for a few responsible persons who are over 30 years old, most of the rest are around 20 years old, and the youngest is only 16 years old.
