The white-spotted fork-nosed pufferfish (tún) is a species of fish in the genus Stevia in the family Pufferidae.
It can reach a length of up to 50 cm and is covered with small spines all over the body except around the mouth and the tail stalk. The ovaries and liver are toxic.
It is found in the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.
When threatened, it will inhale water, causing the body to quickly swell into a ball, erecting dense spikes to intimidate and disperse enemies.
