Eight measures for the control of bee spore disease

author:Farming is a little clear

Bee spore disease, an adult bee disease that causes reptile bee disease, is a common disease in western bees, most bee farms suffer from this disease to varying degrees, and it is difficult to cure. However, due to the differences in the management of the four seasons, prevention and treatment and other measures of each apiary, the incidence of diseases is light and heavy, and the heavy ones weaken the group and affect production.

Eight measures for the control of bee spore disease

beekeeping

According to my observation and experience of amateur beekeeping for many years, the site has little sunshine all year round, is located in a low-lying and humid environment, the surrounding environment is dirty, the water source is unclean, the box, the nest spleen and so on lack of proper cleaning and disinfection, the group is weak, the lack of pollen after autumn, and the humidity in the box is too large, and the prevention and control negligence is the cause of the outbreak of sporangiasis. Especially in the long-term low temperature and rainy weather, the bee colony can not fly and excrete, and it is easy to cause spore disease. In the season, the disease is more common in early spring, late autumn and early winter. The adult bees of the diseased bee colony continue to crawl out of the box, a few heads and tails are slightly black, most of the coat color is the same, most of them are on an empty stomach, a few have large bellies, fluttering wings, they can't fly, they crawl around, dead bees are everywhere, shocking, the group is rapidly declining, and even weak. In terms of prevention and control, prevention should be more important than cure. I have the following eight measures to control spore disease:

1. The site should be located north to south, sheltered from the wind and the sun, and the terrain should be high and not low. The beehive should be placed 20-30 cm above the ground, and the foot of the box should be properly padded with bricks, stools or wooden stakes. The large cover of the beehive waterproof linoleum should protrude 2-3 cm around the perimeter, and the bottom foot of the box should be shrunk in 2-3 cm to prevent rain from soaking up and down the inside of the box. And to ensure that there is sufficient sunlight in front of the beehive door, with the help of ultraviolet rays of sunlight to kill a variety of germs in the bee colony.

2, the bee farm surrounding environment should be clean and hygienic, there should be a clean water source nearby, for bees to use. The dead branches and leaves, weeds, chickens, geese, pigs and sheep feces and garbage around the bee farm should be cleaned frequently; the dead bee disease bees should be cleaned and buried far away to prevent the repeated infection of the disease. And should be in the spring, summer and autumn should be sprinkled around the bee farm regularly to disinfect and sterilize. It is best to have green trees on the hive, but it should not be covered with shade.

3. Beehives, nest spleens, beehives, honey shakers and honey containers should be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Every spring and autumn, after scraping off the propolis, spleen and wax chips of the hive, disinfect it with a blowtorch flame; you can also knock the beehive with straw and waste newspaper and burn it for one or two minutes to sterilize and disinfect (pay attention not to burn the box). After scraping off propolis, cutting off the lower corner of the male peak room and replacing the spleen, the nest spleen is soaked in 3% alkaline aqueous solution for 6-8 hours to sterilize and disinfect, and then rinsed and dried with clean water. Other bee tools can be cleaned and disinfected with 3% hot alkaline water.

4. All bee farms with a history of robe disease in previous years should prevent the recurrence of spore disease in early spring, late autumn and before overwintering, feed with medicated syrup (white sugar mixed with water 1/2), 0.5-1 g per kilogram of syrup mixed with citric acid, 5-100,000 units of chloramphenicol or 2 grams of neogel extinction (new Jieer should be used with the use), each frame of bees should be fed 30-50 grams each time, once every two days, even feeding 3 times, can prevent the recurrence of spore disease.

5. It is necessary to raise strong groups for many years and maintain honey feet and powder feet. Near the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, the weak groups below 5 boxes should all be merged.

6. Breeding disease-resistant bee species is another effective way to control spore disease. When spore disease occurs in a bee farm, there are always light and heavy between the groups, and some bee colonies even have no climbing bees, which provides conditions for breeding and resistance, and should be recorded in time, when changing the king in spring, summer and autumn, select the disease-free group breeding king, eliminate all the sick swarm queens, after several generations of breeding, spore disease can be controlled.

7. Be diligent in turning over the insulation of the bee colony, keep the beehive due dryness, reduce the cold humidity in the box, and promote the bee colony to fly and excrete.

8, when a small number of crawling bees occur in the bee colony, do not take it lightly, think that it does not matter if a large bee colony climbs a few bees, thus delaying the treatment time, you must know that once the outbreak is crawling everywhere, it is difficult to clean up. Especially in the late autumn and early winter, paralysis can not be, do not mistakenly think that manna honey poisoning (mannate honey poisoning is mostly belly crawling bees), should be treated immediately, per kilogram of syrup or diluted honey with 1-2 grams of tropic acid, 10-200,000 units of chloramphenicol, each frame of bees each feeding 50-100 grams, every 2 days to feed 1 time, even feeding 5 times, can be basically cured.
