Bouguereau statue
William Adolphe bouguereau (1825-1905) was one of the most important figures in French académie art painting from the first half of the 19th century to the end of the 19th century. He studied painting for two years at the art school in Bordeaux. In 1846, with 900 francs for the sale of 33 portraits plus the fundraising of relatives, he went to the french-école François École école d'état des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and two months later entered the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris as the 99th of the 100 students.
