On the morning of October 16, an aphid-eating fly was thrown in, and the tiger-headed bee quickly tore it to pieces. Such a fierce tiger-headed bee, Xiaobian thought to himself, the life of the big belly garden spider is difficult to protect!
The result was a big surprise, and at 14:00 on October 16, the tiger-headed bee fell to the bottom of the cage.

Xiaobian used tweezers to clamp the dead tiger-headed bee and hang it under the eyelids of the big belly garden spider, but the big belly garden spider was not moved.
The insect world is so interesting, some people will say that this is the tiger head bee although dead but the tiger wei still exists, but the editor is more believed that the spider generally does not eat dead things caused.

The big-bellied garden spider finally struck, the killing was carried out at night, and by the morning of the next day (October 17), the earth bee had the following shape, which was finally better than that of the praying mantis:
Geckos, large praying mantises, large-bellied garden spiders can be swallowed up, a soil bee naturally just hit the lower tooth sacrifice, Xiaobian is determined to serve the big-bellied garden spider to the end, simply put the spotted wax cicada and the Dorne grasshopper into the cage:
But the killing did not begin, and the spotted wax cicada and the Dorne grasshopper were trapped on the spider's silk until they died, and the big-bellied garden spider shrank in the corner above the cage and did not attack.
Is it because these two things look too ugly? Apparently not.
Could it be that the big belly garden spider is molting? Xiaobian knows that when the spider molts, it is the most vulnerable, it only hopes not to be disturbed, it will never hunt.
But Xiaobian did not see the spider molt, and it did not touch the dead object.
On the afternoon of the 20th, two dead objects were cleared out of the cage and added to two locusts, a Chinese rice locust (left in the picture below) and a Chinese sword horn locust (right in the picture below).
On the evening of the 20th, it was found that the big belly garden spider was active, and it was actually weaving a web, which made Xiaobian very surprised.
In the open space, the big belly garden spider can weave a large round net, but close its rectangular box, the length is only 10 cm, forced space, the big belly garden spider has only been holding some silk, hunting in the cage, is not to rely on the silk to trap the prey first, but to the close prey directly pounce on it, bite with the claws of poisonous fangs, and then pull out multiple bundles of silk (like a curtain) from the tail to subdue the prey.
The net is also very strangely woven, very thick, not stretched, and it is clearly a woven silk blanket.
Is this spider confused by Xiaobian?

If you look closely, its size has shrunk by two yards, and its rounded abdomen is now also deflated.

As for the two locusts, they only became the spider's food during this special period.
The Internet found a veteran of raising large-bellied garden spiders (more than 20 years of breeding age), he said that after the large-bellied garden spider lays eggs, it is as fast as two or three days, and slowly as seven or eight days after death (if artificial feeding and spiders can eat, it can be extended to more than ten days, and the longest record of spiders he has kept is 18 days).
