It is understood that since 2006, in order to alleviate the increasing exhaustion of marine fishery resources, the fishery department of Yuhuan City has held breeding and stocking activities every year. In the past 16 years, the city has invested a total of 15.976 million yuan, releasing a total of 97.487 million fry such as giant yellow croaker, black seabream, true seabream and squid, 250,000 jellyfish fry, 331.02 million shrimp fry, and 6,900 kg of juvenile snails such as lychee snails and pipe horn snails. This year was the largest stocking of shrimp fry in the city's history.
According to statistics in recent years, relevant experts estimate that the output ratio of release and capture is basically 1..6, that is to say, investing one yuan can bring a return of 6 yuan.
The local marine fisheries department has severely cracked down on fishing-related "three noes" vessels on the one hand, and actively carried out offshore breeding and stocking on the other hand, and has worked together to restore offshore fishery resources.
