Shen Qingzhi, who was basking in the sun in the courtyard, was already 74 years old, and he stretched out his waist and put on his battle armor without saying a word. This time, he fought as a general on horseback, and he was definitely the most powerful military general in the Southern Dynasty.
In order to prevent Liu Shi from fleeing to Northern Wei, Shen Qingzhi first stationed a part of his army north of Guangling City before attacking Guangling, cutting off his way north. However, Guangling City was also very miserable, and men under 5 feet tall could survive, while women were rewarded to the army. After this battle, Shen Qingzhi became the Sikong of one of the Three Dukes.
After getting older, Shen Qingzhi didn't want to take care of things. At the age of 70, he thought about retiring, but was pulled out by Emperor Xiaowu Liu Jun to put down the rebellion.
Now at the age of 79, Shen Qingzhi doesn't want to care about anything. Unfortunately, Emperor Xiaowu of Song died at this time, and Shen Qingzhi became a minister of gu orders, responsible for assisting the young lord Liu Ziye.
This may seem like a supremely glorious thing, but it is actually full of danger. Liu Ziye was not a fuel-saving lamp, cruel and unkind, and extravagant, so another minister of orders, Liu Yuanjing, planned to depose Liu Ziye and establish Liu Yigong as emperor instead.
Originally, Shen Qingzhi was not disgusted by this matter, he was so old, what else could he manage? Hearing that Liu Yigong was to be made emperor, Shen Qingzhi was not calm. Why? Because he has a vendetta against Liu Yigong!
As a result, Shen Qingzhi was confused, and he resolutely reported the behavior of these gangs to Liu Ziye, which eventually led to the murder of Liu Yigong, Liu Yuanjing and others.

Unfortunately, Liu Ziye still did not intend to let him go, because Shen Qingzhi always came to advise, which caused Liu Ziye to be very unhappy, so Liu Ziye asked Shen Qingzhi's nephew Shen Youzhi to kill him. In the end, Shen Qingzhi was killed by Shen Youzhi with a quilt.
Poor Shen Qing devoted his life to the Liu Song Dynasty for 50 years, during which he quelled countless wars, but was killed for advice. He shouldn't have gone out of the mountains in the first place, and wouldn't it be fragrant to go home at the age of 70 to retire?
