Chengdu Book
Lu You (1125–1210), courtesy name Wuguan (字務觀), was a native of Shanyin, Yuezhou (present-day Shaoxing, Zhejiang), a Southern Song Dynasty writer, historian, and patriotic poet. In the 23rd year (1153) of Emperor Gaozong of Song, he took the examination of the Ministry of Rites, but his career was not smooth because he was rejected by Qin Jun. After Emperor Xiaozong of Song ascended the throne, he was given the birth of a jinshi. He successively served as the chief bookkeeper of Ningde County, Fuzhou, and the general judge of Longxing Province. In the fifth year of Qiandao (1169), he was appointed as the general judge of Kui Prefecture (夔州, in modern Fengjie, Chongqing). In the seventh year of Qiandao (1171), at the invitation of Wang Yan, the envoy of Sichuan Xuanfu, he joined the army and served in the southern Zheng shogunate. In the eighth year of Qiandao (1172), he served as a senator of the Chengdu Fulu Pacification Department. In the ninth year of Qiandao (1173), he was reassigned to the general judge of Shu Prefecture (蜀州, in present-day Chongzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan), and later to Jia prefecture (in present-day Leshan, Sichuan). In the first year of Chunxi (1174), he was transferred back to Renshu Prefecture (蜀州通判) and soon went to Rongzhou (荣州, in modern Rong County, Sichuan) to act as an acting governor. In the second year of Chunxi (1175), Fan Chengda was recommended to be a senator of the Chengdu Fulu Pacification Department and a senator of the Sichuan System Department. Chunxi was relieved of his official duties in the third year (1176). He lives near Du Fu Caotang on the banks of Huanhua Creek and calls himself "Fang Weng". In the fifth year of Chunxi (1178), he was ordered to enter the dynasty and leave Chengdu. Hou Guan went to Baozhang Pavilion to be made. In his later years, he retired to his hometown of San'in. There is the "Jiannan Poetry Manuscript".

Appreciation: This poem was written in the winter of the second year of Emperor Xiaozong Chunxi (1175), when Lu You was 51 years old and had been serving in Chengdu and the surrounding area for three or four years. At this time, he served in the Fancheng Shogunate. Here, the senators were idle officials, and they had a deep friendship with their superior, Fan Chengda, and "intersected with each other in words", so that the poet lived freely. The poet is convinced that the landscapes and rivers of Central Shu are all beautiful, but the most beautiful is Chengdu on the edge of the Maojin River. In JinguanCheng, there are many pavilions, and he covets the hazy and elegant charm of Chengdu in the shadow of smoke and willows, and he is obsessed with the natural scenery of smoke willows, pavilions, tourists, and flying flowers. The five or six sentences of the poem are extremely favorable to the diet of the capital, which is no inferior to that of his hometown Shaoxing, which can be described as beautiful and delicious. The end of the poem liansheng fa buys the garden for a long time, and the white head is old with the feelings of the old, which can be described as the depth of love, and the desire cannot be stopped. Lu You finally returned to Zhejiang, thinking of the place where he stayed for nine years, it became a memory of the end of his life. It is really "a dream of prosperity in Jincheng", but "the old tourist wants to say that no one shares", and the thought of Chengdu can be described as extreme.
"Poet Shu Shi": Southern Song Dynasty Lu You, "Ten Rhymes of Huaicheng Poems", on paper, 34.6×82.4cm, (Beijing) Palace Museum collection. This poem was written by Lu You when he retired to his former residence in middle age. The poems are very beautiful and the words are clear and lovely. The gesture is similar to the five generations of calligrapher Yang Ning's style, and it is clean and free. Zhu Xiyun: "The penmanship is exquisite, and the meaning is lofty."
