At the end of the Liao Dynasty, he led his relatives to flee west to the city of Kötun (uighur city in Burgan Province, Mongolia), and by chance, he became the leader there. After more than ten years of western expeditions, dozens of countries in the western region of Kexi established a large country with thousands of miles in the east and west, known in history as the Western Liao, and built the capital of Husi Huluduo (southeast of Tokmak, Kyrgyzstan), which died after three generations, a total of 88 years. There are few records of this history in ancient China. Only because this history did not exist in the land of China, but it is about to sprout in distant Central Asia. It is also part of Chinese culture, according to relevant historical records, the official language of the Western Liao is Chinese and Khitan language, the official documents use Chinese characters, costumes, official systems, etc. imitate the Song Dynasty at that time. That's a miracle. The Daur people in the northeast of China are the descendants of the Khitan tribes, and the "I" in Yunnan are also descendants of the Khitan people. Today,the surnames of "A", "Jiang", "Xiao", and "Yelü" are derived from their clan. There are about 500,000 pure Khitan people in Kyrgyzstan, who still retain the customs of their ancestors and live a life of Mafang Nanshan. Oishi eventually became a symbol of a nation that dominated Central Asia and spread far and wide into Europe.

Later, the Mongol prime minister Yelü Chucai commented on Dashi in the "Collected Writings of Zhanran Jushi": "Later Liaoxing Dashi, Western Regions Tong Guizi, Wanli Wei Shengzhen, Century-old Famous Sect Plume". In his system, which was also a multi-ethnic and multi-faith country, he himself respected the freedom of belief of all ethnic groups and sometimes participated in local religious festivals, while he himself was a Buddhist. This is really surprising, because in my impression, the Khitans can only bend their horses and shoot large eagles! Even if he has literary talent, it is still advocating Confucianism, which shows that he deserves it. In Russian, Arabic, and Latin, "Chinese" is pronounced "Khitan" mainly to the credit of Dashi.
In 1143, Yelü Dashi died with regret and anger that he could not recover Daliao and returned to his hometown, at the age of fifty-seven, with the temple name "Dezong". But history remembers him forever, and he still lives in the hearts of the Khitans.
