The biggest difference between the long-tail shark and other sharks is its long sickle-shaped tail. Because the length of their tail is greater than half the length of their body, they got the name "long-tailed shark". The long tail is the proud weapon of the long-tail shark and the terrible nightmare of the small fish.
01
Breeding and growth
There are many types of serendipitous fish, ranging from the strange-looking Shrek fish to the huge Napoleonse and the colorful glittering wrasse. Although they differ in appearance, most of them prefer to hunt for food in the reef. In addition to the invertebrates and microbes in the reef, serenity also eats a variety of "leftovers" that fall from the upper waters. Some species of serendi even eat the fat next to the barracuda's mouth, and thus become a good partner with the barracuda.
02
A weapon like no other
Fierce and gluttonous, long-tail sharks often drive schools of fish into shallow waters and then whip-like long tails to lash out at the water. The terrible sound of hitting the water will frighten the small fish into a cluster, and some even lose consciousness. At this time, the long-tailed shark will take advantage of the void, invade the prey circle, and eat a beautiful meal.
03
Good helper
There is a very friendly relationship between the ferocious long-tail shark and the seko. During long-term predation, parasites inevitably grow on the long-tailed shark. Seyu bites off their dead skin and parasites in time to cleanse their bodies. While cleaning the body of the long-tail shark, the seko can also obtain food and is protected by the longtail shark.
04
Big-eyed long-tailed shark
The big-eyed long-tailed shark is about 4 meters long and weighs about 200 kilograms, and its biggest feature is that it has a pair of large eyes. Their bodies are purple-grey, with slightly darker colors at the edges of their pectoral and fins. They like to swim leisurely in the deep sea without light, swam around with their big tails, catching small shrimp and fish.
The food of the longtail shark feeds on squid and group fish (such as herring, sardines, etc.), and occasionally crustaceans and seabirds.
The pectoral fin of the pectoral longtail shark is large, which helps to manipulate the thrust direction of the tail.
Jumping long-tail sharks can gather a particularly large impulse when swimming rapidly, allowing them to jump directly out of the water.
Past periods are also wonderful...
