However, this time the plan was stillborn due to the destruction of Jia Xu and others, what was going on?
1. Re-advocate the righteous teacher
In 192, Dong Zhuo was killed by Wang Yun and Lü Bu, but Dong Zhuo's remnants Li Dai and Guo Feng launched a counterattack, killing Wang Yun and driving Lü Bu away, and the government fell into their hands. When the news reached the Kwantung region, the crowd was furious, so some local officials loyal to the Han Dynasty prepared to form the Kwantung Coalition Army again. Shi Taoqian of Xuzhou believed that Zhu Juan was a famous general in the world, "but he and Zhu Haojie jointly promoted him to be a taishi, because he moved Mu Bo, and together with Li Dai and others, he welcomed the Son of Heaven."
As a result, Xuzhou Assassin Shi Taoqian, Former Yangzhou Thorn Shi Zhougan, Lang Evil Xiang Yin De, Donghai Xiang Liu Kui, Peng Cheng Xiang Ji Lian, Beihai Xiang Kong Rong, Pei Xiang Yuan Zhong, Taishan Taishou Ying Shao, Runan Tai Shou Xu Xuan, Former Jiujiang Tai Shou Fu Qian, and Dr. Zheng Xuan jointly wrote to Zhu Juan, planning to form a second Kwantung Coalition Army to attack Li Dai and Guo Feng, and revive the Han Dynasty. Zhu Juan was indeed a rare famous general at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and if he led the Kwantung Alliance, he would definitely be stronger than Yuan Shao, who was blind.
Second, Jia Xu destroyed
At this time, Li Dai and Guo Feng, who were in Guanzhong, were not idle, and although the two were rude, they were also worried that Kwantung would once again form a coalition army. At this time, Wei Zhouzhong and Shang Shu Jia Xu offered advice to Li Dai and, in the name of the Son of Heaven, recruited Zhu Juan to join the dynasty as an official. Here we want to talk about Jia Xu, who is known for his intelligence and profoundly influenced the history of the late Eastern Han Dynasty. After Dong Zhuo was killed, Li Dai, Guo Feng, and others originally planned to flee separately, but Jia Xu stopped them and offered advice to attack Chang'an.
After the destruction of Chang'an City, Li Dai and Guo Feng slaughtered the troops, causing Chang'an City to be bloody and rainy. Afterwards, Li Dai and Guo Feng wanted to make Jia Xu a marquis, but Jia Xu refused. Therefore, Li Dai and Guo Feng, in the name of the Son of Heaven, crowned Jia Xu as Shangshu, and Jia Xu continued to serve Li Dai and Guo Feng thereafter. In order to prevent the Kwantung from forming a coalition again, especially fearing that Zhu Juan would once again go out of the mountains, Jia Xu offered advice and suggested that Zhu Juan be summoned to Chang'an in the name of Emperor Xian of Han.
Third, Zhu Juan's mistake
When the edict was sent to Zhongmu, none of Zhu Juan's soldiers wanted to enter the pass, and they planned to respond to Tao Qian and form the Kwantung Alliance for the second time, but Zhu Juan did not see it that way. Zhu Juan believed, "Summoning the subjects with the king, righteousness is not driving, and the son of heaven is commanding!" And the dai, the small shaft, the fan thick and the mediocre, without his far-sightedness, and the forces are enemies, it will become difficult to do. I take advantage of it, and great things can be helped. "This means that when the emperor summons me, he should go immediately, after all, this is the righteousness of the king."
In addition, in Zhu Juan's view, Li Dai, Guo Feng, and Fan Chou were all people who had no talent, and their relations were not good, and civil unrest would definitely break out. At that time, he would take the opportunity to raise an army and easily get rid of them, but the Han Chamber would be revived. There was nothing wrong with Zhu Juan's analysis, the relationship between the three people was indeed very poor, and later infighting broke out. However, Zhu Juan was held hostage and could not realize his ideals. In the end, zhu Juan, who had a strong personality, fell ill and died.
