The editor said that that year, the news that "the railway station timber company found the dragon" was undoubtedly explosive news in the closed years. At that time, Xiaobian was less than 10 years old, with a strong curiosity, with the big children in the courtyard stepping on the muddy road, rushing from the new bridge to the timber company, sneaking into the black pressed crowd, except to see a mud pit, saw nothing, and then, carrying a hundred thousand question marks to mournfully returned home.
Many years later, Zigong built the Dinosaur Museum; later, Xiaobian became a peer of Longbo. This is what the little fart kid who was covered in the mud of his pants legs to see the "dragon" could not have imagined.
Many years later, the Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark was established with the Dinosaur Museum as the core park and the only address park named after the city in the Chinese mainland. Xiaobian named the publication of Zigong Global Geopark "Park Home", and explained: Zigong Global Geopark is our home; our homeland is in Zigong Global Geopark. Therefore, we must build the home as beautiful as the park, and build the park as warm as the home. I think this is the hope and pursuit of every Zigong person, as well as the expectation of UNESCO and the expectation of the people of the world.
Today is the 82nd anniversary of the founding of Zigong City, and the editor will say two more words.
In the winter of 1979, the heavens and the earth were quiet. In a place called the Ten Thousand Years Lantern in Dashanpu Town, with the sound of a cannon, a world wonder was exploded, and the Dashanpu Dinosaur Cave was stunning.
The news spread rapidly, and the richness and integrity of the dinosaur fossils buried in Dashanpu were beyond people's imagination, and the world paleontological community was even more shocked, saying that this buried site would be a pilgrimage place for scholars who studied dinosaurs.

As early as 1915, in order to find oil and gas, the National Government invited an American scientific expedition team to investigate from the Gong area, and found dinosaur fossils on the way from Rong County to Zigong. In 1936, Chinese paleontologists found a relatively complete dinosaur fossil in Watermelon Mountain, Rong County. By 1974, large-scale dinosaur fossil burial sites were again found in Wujiaba, an artesian well. Professor Yang Zhongjian, a paleontologist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said, "There are many dinosaurs in Sichuan, and Zigong is a nest."
The discovery in 1979 once again shocked the world, and the world's major media and professional organizations competed to report it. Subsequently, a scientific expedition team composed of multiple units and departments quickly arrived in Zigong and immediately began the on-site protection and clean-up excavation work after a simple division of labor. Due to the constraints of various parties, the clean-up and excavation work was not very smooth.
One day in the early summer of 1982, a minibus quietly arrived at the excavation site. There were a few people in the car, and the instrument was extraordinary. One of them, who was tall and thin, mentally strong, and wearing a pair of color-changing glasses, was General Zhang Aiping, state councilor and minister of national defense, accompanied by the main leaders of the province and the city. General Zhang interrogated the on-site staff to understand the progress of the work, everyone reported on the work, while pouring bitter water, the property rights unit should repair the parking lot here, urge the transfer of land, some scientific research units also have to transfer the fossils, clean up and excavate the work is very difficult.

General Zhang's face was solemn, he listened for half a moment, and his cane was on the ground, saying: How can this work? To strengthen the protection of excavation, the local museum exhibition protection, I first give 100,000 yuan, other problems please coordinate to solve. Secretary Tan Qilong was an old subordinate of the general during the New Fourth Army, and he had great respect for the general and even accepted it.

In this way, with the concise and firm words of General Zhang Aiping, an idea of building a museum on the spot to protect the exhibition chen was formed. Returning to the hotel that night, the general was still unsatisfied, let the staff find a pen and paper, and wrote down 8 big words that flew vigorously: "Dinosaur Cave, Wonders of the World".
Regarding the extinction of dinosaurs, there are many theories, such as celestial impact theory, geological disaster theory, collective poisoning theory... But it has never been explained why in Zigong, there are layers of layers and a wide variety of dinosaur fossils buried in this place of Dashanpu. These questions stimulate people's curiosity and lead people to constantly explore and discover. Dashanpu is really a magical place.
Among the 100 heroic and exemplary figures who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China, Zigong was selected 3: Lu Deming, Jiang Jie and Deng Ping. Lu Deming was the commander-in-chief of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and was killed in Luxi, Jiangxi when the troops were transferred. Sister Jiang is a heroic martyr of Hongyan, an iron bone of Danxin, and a proud frost of red plum, which can be described as a household name. Deng Ping was a senior general of the Red Army who died under Zunyi City, stained with blue blood and cuckoos, and the chief of staff of the Red Third Army. Among them, Jiang Jie and Deng Ping, their hometowns are in Dashanpu.
In February 1935, the Red Army crossed the Red River to capture Loushan Pass, and when it captured Zunyi City, the Red Third Army led by Peng Dehuai was responsible for the main attack, and Deng Ping, chief of staff of the regiment, took several people to the forward position to inspect the enemy's situation, among these people, zhang Aiping, who was sometimes the political commissar of the Red 11 regiment. In this operation, they were found by the defenders, a burst of guns came, a bullet hit Deng Ping's head, Deng Ping fell on Zhang Aiping's body, heroic sacrifice.
On the Phoenix Mountain outside Zunyi City, along a long stone staircase, you can see a towering monument, and the front statue under the monument is the scene of Deng Ping's sacrifice in Zhang Aiping's arms, Zhang Aiping holding deng Ping's chief of staff who was shot and sacrificed, grief-stricken. In this sense, General Zhang Aiping has long formed an unforgettable life-and-death friendship with Zigong and Dashanpu.
In 1983, the Dinosaur Museum project was officially approved. After more than 3 years of construction, in the Spring Festival of 1987, the Zigong Dinosaur Museum was completed and opened. General Zhang Aiping came to Zigong again, and he visited the exhibition hall with great interest and was very pleased. General Zhang also waved again and wrote a poem of five masterpieces:
Salt are artesian wells,
Fame has been passed down for a long time.
Dinosaur swarm miracles,
National treasures cover the world.

The main building resembles an ancient castle made of boulders, with a unique shape and distinctive personality, which is in line with the temperament of dinosaurs and other paleontological creatures, so the museum has been selected into the 20th century Chinese architectural heritage list. The museum has a collection of almost all dinosaur types dating from about 200 million to 150 million years ago in the Jurassic era, and is a site museum with the same name as the Banpo Museum and the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, and is also one of the three major dinosaur site museums in the world, which National Geographic calls the world's best dinosaur museum.

In 2007, Zigong, with the Dinosaur Museum as the main body, declared to join the Global Geopark Network. This year, at the same time, a large-scale upgrading of the mountains, roads, greenery and tourist service facilities in the park was launched, making the entire museum more beautiful and pleasant, and also praised by guests from all over the world, and every holiday, it was endless. Later, the Zigong Global Geopark was expanded, almost including the protected areas of the four districts and two counties of Zigong, making Zigong a super park without walls.
In September 2017, at the invitation of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Agency, I and the staff of the Geopark Management Office went to a small island in the Azores called Ponta Delgada to attend the United Nations Global Geopark Work Exchange Conference and briefed the guests on the construction and management of zigong World Park. In addition to the formal exchange of the conference, the interaction with the citizens and tourists was also arranged, and the coffee break in the meeting was a quartet and string quartet performed by local middle school students, and their good musical literacy was really impressive.

The next day, the famous Spanish paleontologist Dr. Luis Alcala invited us to Tenuel to communicate with the Maest Geocultural Park. Cars snaked through the fields of the Aragonese region, all the way to the smoke and dust. The bare rocks and lonely houses in the wilderness, the white clouds that travel in the sky, always remind me of Don Quixote and his donkey-ridden servant Sancho. At the village department in Maest, I signed an agreement with the female village chief (who is also the head of the Maest Cultural Park) to share an agreement with the sister parks in the two places. Later, after the re-evaluation of the Zigong Global Geopark, Dr. Alcalá came to Zigong and gave an excellent evaluation of the construction and management of the Zigong Global Geopark. That day, I invited him to eat hot pot, and he was very receptive, but not able to drink.

Chen Gang, male, is a member of the Chinese Writers Association and the Sichuan Calligraphers Association. He has published more than 1 million words of novels and essays in newspapers and periodicals throughout the country, inside and outside the province. He has written columns for several newspapers and periodicals. He has published a collection of short and medium stories, "Our Time," and a collection of essays and essays, "A Wisp of Ink." His prose works won the National Essay Contest Award held by the China Prose Literature Association and were selected as the Grand View of Contemporary Prose in Sichuan. His television literary work "Poems and Songs of Xianquan Gushing Streams" won the Sichuan Provincial Government Award excellence award (first prize) and the nomination award of the 22nd China Television "Starlight Award". There is the film "Red Cuckoo" adapted from the novel of the same name. The calligraphy works were selected for the Sichuan Provincial Youth and Middle-Aged Exhibition, the First Joint Exhibition of The Twelve Provinces and Regions in the Western Region, and the First National Exhibition of Calligraphy Works for Civil Servants. Calligraphy works were invited to participate in the Shenzhen Xiaofeitian Autumn Auction (transaction). It is collected by Ba Jin College of Literature, Jilin Library, Yibin Science and Technology Museum, Zigong Archives, Zigong Library, Western China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and has many stone inscriptions in many places.
