Whole grass of the genus Wheat bottle grass in the family Caryophyllaceae. Collected in summer and autumn, washed, freshly used or dried.
It grows on hillsides , understory forests and overgrowns. It is found in North China, Northwest China and south of the Yangtze River Basin. Also known as silver chai hu, earth orange stem, deli grass, sticky fly grass, wild mosquito grass.

An annual herb, 15–45 cm tall, the whole plant is covered with soft hairs. The stem is solitary, erect or ascending, unbranched or branched, covered with short soft hairs and glandular hairs. The leaves are oblong, spoon-shaped or lanceolate, 1.5–3 cm long and 5–10 mm wide, rounded or blunt at the apex, sometimes sharply pointed, and flanked by soft hairs and glandular hairs. Monofid inflorescence; peduncle length 1-5 mm; bract lanceolate, grassy, up to 10 mm long; calyx ovate, about 8 mm long, about 2 mm in diameter, sparsely long soft hairs and glandular hairs, somewhat connected at the apex of the longitudinal vein, clematous lanceolate, about 2 mm long, sharply pointed at the apex, covered with glandular hairs; few stamens stalks; petals pale red to white, claw-inverted lanceolate, hairless, no ears, petals exposed sepals, ovate or inverted ovate, full margin, sometimes slightly concave; small corollar, linear lanceolate; stamens are not exposed or slightly exposed, The lower part of the filigree has marginal hairs.
