The Tianmu Mountain Research Examination was successfully concluded, and the 4 groups of students observed and collected more than 70 species of insects, and sorted out and made more than 150 insect specimens, which can be described as a full harvest. After collation and identification, a total of 2 specimens of brown oblique edge borer were collected.
The brown oblique-edged ant belongs to the order Orthoptera, mainly distributed in Anhui, Zhejiang, Hunan, Guangdong, Yunnan and other places. The length of males is 13.0-18.0 mm, and the females are 14.0-19.0mm; the males of the dorsal plate of the forethia are 3.2-4.0mm, the females are 3.5-4.0mm; the forewing long males are 19.0-21.0mm, and the females are 24.0-25.0mm; the hindpod long males are 11.5-14.0mm, and the females are 13.0-15.0rnm; and the egg-laying lobes are 5.0-6.0mm long. Adults are pale green. The head and the back of the dorsal plate of the forebreast, the rumpal domain of the forewings, and both sides of the abdomen are white spots, with russet or dark brown edges around the white spots; the antennae are pale with sparse dark rings; the ends of the forewings, the extra long parts of the hindwings, the ends of the femoral segments, and the appendages are dark brown. Compound eyeball shape, protruding. The back of the front foot plate is rounded and convex, the posterior area of the groove is flattened, the lateral ridge is missing, the lateral patch is longer than tall, the lower edge of the lateral piece is rounded, and the shoulder recess is slightly more pronounced. The forewings are narrowed, the end margin is slightly obliquely truncated, the Sc and R veins are opened from the base, the R veins have 2 to 3 branches, the Rs veins are bifurcated, and the transverse veins are arranged irregularly. The hindwings are longer than the forewings. The basal segment of the forefoot is missing, the dorsal mask groove of the tibia segment of the forefoot is missing the dorsal distance, and the internal and external auditors are closed. Ventral masks of each femoral segment are thorny, the posterior femoral segment is lacking in the knee leaf; the male 10th ventral segment has a slight concave posterior margin of the dorsal plate; the supraal plate is spear-shaped, the dorsal mask groove; the tail whiskers are slender, cylindrical, strongly curved, and the end is rod-shaped, with end spines; the lower reproductive plate is narrow and long, strongly curved upwards, the end is deeply lobed into two leaves, and the end of the lobe is blunt and rounded. Females have thin, short, conical tail whiskers; the lower reproductive plate is triangular with blunt rounded ends; the laying lobe is fully developed with blunt, fine teeth at the edges.
