On April 5, 2016, the famous Peking Opera master Mei Baojiu died of illness at the age of 82; he was mei Lanfang's ninth son, and his son inherited his father's business. Although Mei Baojiu's life is not as good as Mei Lanfang's, he has also made some of his own achievements to cultivate many outstanding talents for Peking Opera; he has also won many international awards: the Asian Outstanding Artist Award awarded by the Lincoln Meihua Art Center in New York, and the "Master of Art Award" awarded by the World Artists Association.

Later, in order to explain this matter to Mei Baojiu, Li Yugang wanted to apologize to Mei Baojiu for this matter in the program, but the words became: I represent the profound Meipai art to the national audience!

Even more threatened: Li Yugang will not be forgiven until death! There is probably no need to say anything about the grace and resentment in this, perhaps there is also a misunderstanding in it, but in Mei Baojiu's heart, father and Mei Pai are sacred and inviolable. Later, Li Yugang also thought of apologizing to him, but for various reasons, he still failed to achieve it.
Today, Mr. Mei Lao has also passed away, and the inheritance of Mei Pai is still continuing.
