Penny Tai, born on 22 April 1978 in Segamat, Johor, Malaysia, is a Hakka chinese singer, writer, producer, lead singer and mv director.

In 1999, he was discovered by musician Chen Zihong; in 2000, he debuted with the single "Don't Want to", and released his debut album "Penny" in February of the same year, which was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award at the 12th Taiwan Golden Melody Awards. In 2001, "How to" was released, and the song "The Love You Want" became the ending song of "Meteor Garden".
