What is sensory integration
Many parents are unfamiliar with sensory integration training or just know the name. Today, I will use my spare time to share some of the content of a recent book called "Sensory Integration Training" to parents. For the application of sensory integration training to children, to promote their physical and mental health, it is even more difficult to start. The theory of sensory integration was first proposed by Alice, a doctor of psychology in the United States, who devoted his life to the study of brain function. The core of this theory is that the sensory information of various parts of the human organ is transmitted to the brain through a series of combinations, and through the integration of the brain, it is possible to respond correctly to perceptions inside and outside the body.

Sensory integration refers to a white, smooth cooperation between the various parts of the body, such as the coordination of the left eye and the right eye, the cooperation between the hand and the eye, the cooperation between the upper and lower limbs, and so on, which is a universal ability of the human body.
The process of sensory integration
From a physiological point of view, sensory integration refers to the process by which the brain and body coordinate with each other. It is the process by which an individual obtains information from different sensory pathways from the environment by the sensory organs of the body (vision, hearing, taste, smell, touch, vestibular sense, proprioception, etc.) from the environment and loses it to the human brain, and the brain processes the received information (such as interpretation, comparison, enhancement, inhibition of contact, unification, etc.), and then gives the child a corresponding and pleasant response. For example, when you see a book on the shelf, the book is passed on to the human brain as a complete and unmistakable message, and after it is integrated through the brain, you are instructed to pick up the book with your hand, and the process is sensory integration.

Touch, vestibular, and proprioception are the three main systems of sensory integration. When the body's basic sensory system, especially the three main systems, works well and interacts benignly with the brain, sensory integration also enters a good state.
