(Novel) Introduction to "The Drowning River"

introduction

Man is always lonely.

Sooner or later, either from love, or from family affection, or from survival. Lonely people are like drowning people, in order to get a chance to survive, go to the water to breathe free air, desperately grasp the straw to save their lives. Whether the straw grasped is another shackle that tripped the ankle, people can never reach the shore, and they will always flutter and struggle on the shore that is close at hand.

We can live, we can breathe our own free air, but our bodies are always in the water, never on the shore.

What is the greatest pain in life? It is the relentless pursuit of freedom.

What is the biggest dissatisfaction in life? The relentless pursuit of freedom.

What is the greatest source of suffering in life? The relentless pursuit of freedom.

Life has decades, or even nearly a hundred years, and in the years that are long or not short, how many are happy and happy, how many are lonely and helpless, how many are in the water, and how many are on the shore. But it is rare to go ashore, and even if it is briefly ashore, it will fall into the water again. Then, in the continuous going ashore, launching, going into the water, going ashore, back to the original point. It was as if it had never left, only time had left, and the mind about freedom was still swirling in place, never going far.

Time is really like a long river, loneliness is water, freedom is a big land, and we are always drowning.
