Wang Yang met with Congolese (Brazzaville) Senate Speaker Ngolo

Beijing, 3 Nov (Xinhua) -- Wang Yang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with Congolese (Brazzaville) Senate Speaker Ngolo by video link in Beijing on 3 November.

Wang Yang said: The friendship between China and Congo has a long history. In recent years, President Xi Jinping and President Sasu have met and talked on many occasions, ushering in a new era in bilateral relations. The two sides should take the important consensus of the two heads of state as the guide, deepen political mutual trust, expand pragmatic cooperation, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, and promote the in-depth development of the China-Congo comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. The Chinese National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is willing to enhance friendly exchanges with the Congolese (Brazzaville) Senate and promote more results in China-Congo and China-Africa cooperation.

Ngolo thanked the Chinese side for providing valuable support to the Congo in fighting the epidemic and economic and social development. He said that the Congolese side will continue to give firm support on issues involving China's major core interests, and the Congolese (Brazzaville) Senate is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and continuously consolidate the political, social and public opinion foundation for the development of bilateral relations.
