Recently, an incident of "2.8 billion deposits being inexplicably pledged" has aroused concern. During the incident, a pharmaceutical company called Jimin Trusted Group claimed that the 2.8 billion yuan of term deposits it had deposited in Bohai Bank were unknowingly used as pledges by the bank to lend money to a third-party company. After learning that its 2.8 billion deposits had been pledged, Jimin Trust Group had met and communicated with the relevant personnel of the Nanjing branch of Bohai Bank, but the "continue to pledge" solution given by the bank personnel was difficult for them to accept. Subsequently, nearly 450 million yuan was deducted from the pledged deposits because the loans of the third-party company were not repaid when they were due. According to the latest situation learned by the reporter, the two sides did not have follow-up communication after reporting the case.
Just now, Bohai Bank was interviewed by the media for the first time on this matter and made a public explanation. Zhao Yuanfang, deputy general manager of the Comprehensive and Human Resources Department of Bohai Bank Nanjing Branch, accepted an exclusive interview with CCTV financial reporters, saying: "In about a year, Jimin Trust department has received three times the additional income from Huaye Petrochemical Department and the interest on deposits of our bank. Other information also shows that Jimin Trust is aware of this matter and is not a simple deposit customer as it claims to be. At present, the public security organs have accepted the report and carried out investigation and evidence collection. For the pledged funds involved in this incident, we will strictly follow the investigation conclusions and final results of the judicial organs and deal with them in accordance with the law. ”
