Located at the junction of Heshuikou and Shangcun, Gongming Old Market is an old-fashioned street nearly 200 meters long, which was once the most prosperous and lively place in Gongming, and also the most concentrated place in the guangming area. Founded in 1929, gongming old market is a witness to the historical changes of gongming. There are about 150 shops on both sides of the old-fashioned street, which is a traditional Lingnan style arcade shop building in the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.

Bright Sugar Factory
Guangming Sugar Factory is located in Guangming Street Cuihu Community Guangming Farm Group Co., Ltd., with a protection area of 498 square meters.
In 1972, in order to solve the employment problem of Guangming Farm and explore industrial production, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Light Industry injected 1.5 million yuan into Guangming Farm to build a sugar factory. In the 1980s, sugar mills were at their peak and had good benefits. Later, as if the inevitable fate of a twilight hero, the sugar factory gradually declined due to the reduction of sugar prices across the country, and finally stopped production in 1993. The factory area was also abandoned at that time and has been until now.
The "Purple Line Plan" clearly states that it is necessary to focus on protecting the roof truss structure of the juice room and the refining room of the Guangming Sugar Factory, and encourage the transformation of buildings in the form of a combination of new and old buildings; protect the chimneys and other characteristic building structures, and must not change their location. The new buildings (structures) in the construction control zone must be coordinated with the historical architectural style, and there should be a reasonable spatial landscape transition between the buildings and environmental features in the construction control zone and the protected buildings, and the new and old buildings that do not meet the requirements should be rectified or demolished.
Ploughing the Hidden Wheat Ancestral Hall
Located next to the stone road in the north of Shiwei Old Village, Jiangshi Community, Martin Street, the Ancestral Hall of Gengyin Maigong is built to commemorate the ancestor of the Mai clan, Mai Gengyin. It was built in the Ming Dynasty, rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, and renovated in 2018. There are two stone lions under the roof of the ancestral hall, there are two enclosure piers in front of the ancestral hall, tall doors, high thresholds, and on both sides of the gate there are couplets "Suguo Liufang, Zhujie Yan Sect", and the layout of the entire ancestral hall with three openings, two deep and one patio.
According to the genealogy of the Mai clan, in the first year of Ming Xuande (1426), the eighth ancestor of the Mai clan moved to Shiwei Village. At the beginning of the opening of the village, most of the Cantonese houses in Lingnan lived around the house. Shiwei Village is located in a hilly valley, the mountain forest is dense, the terrain is steep, the villagers are brave, the fence is sacred and inviolable, and it is as stable as a rock, so it is named "Shiwei Village".
Now the old village of Shiwei has been hidden in a high-rise building, and the Cultivating Mai Gong Ancestral Hall has become the watchman and inheritor of the cultural origin of the Mai family. "Cultivating the Maigong Ancestral Hall" has some of the meaning of the Lingnan Ancestral Hall Cultural Museum, and walking into it is like opening an "arbitrary door" of Lingnan culture.
Baihuadong Revolutionary Martyrs Monument
Baihuadong Village is a natural village with a glorious revolutionary tradition, as early as the first civil revolutionary war, the village organized a peasant association led by the Communist Party of China; during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, it was an important military base in the revolutionary base area of Balcony Mountain. The "Purple Line Plan" proposes to maintain its patriotic education function and create a red cultural node. Today's Baihuadong Revolutionary Martyrs Monument has become a modern red education base integrating memorials, remembrance, cultural inheritance, patriotic education, and leisure activities, and will be fully opened in 2020.
