Discharge does not fade

I was born in the new society, grew up under the red flag, basked in sunshine and spring breeze, and was educated by the party to become a soldier. The army is a big school, a melting pot that I will never forget. Since leaving the army, I have always been proud to be a soldier. Joining the party in the army and loving the country and the party with a sincere heart, the party has now been more than forty years old, and has always insisted that the people have faith, the country has strength, and the nation has hope. The knowledge I learned during my time in the army, the study of military style, discipline, team spirit, the concept of time and the glorious traditions of our army, etc., have enabled me to develop good work and study habits, and I have always been very effective after working in local areas.

Before the outbreak of the Sino-Vietnamese Border War on February 17, 1979, I actively signed up for the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam. Before setting off, he wrote a blood book, a challenge book, and a battle letter with his comrades-in-arms, and made a life and death statement: "I would rather move forward than die one step back, rather than take half a step back to live." In order to seize the commanding heights and occupy the best advantage in the fierce and brutal battle, in order to race against the clock, exert all physical strength and speed, overcome difficulties and obstacles, charge forward desperately, climb over the ditches and ridges, I and my comrades-in-arms charged to the highest mountain in the rain of bullets, occupying a favorable position and fighting with the Vietnamese army to the end. Although the corpses were strewn across the ground and the blood stained the land and the creek red, in the end we achieved a major victory. At that time, although there were casualties in our unit, we held the hill and defeated the Vietnamese army, allowing the large troops to advance smoothly. The military career is the hardest, but soldiers take pleasure in suffering and take pride in suffering. Young people know the hardships of the army and are biased toward the military. Everyone knows that only those who have the courage to dedicate are the most valuable life and the most worthy of respect. In the world, the most beautiful feeling is military life, no responsibility is more important than the protection of people's lives and property, and no mission is more sacred than defending national sovereignty. The beauty of life lies in the meaning it pursues, the dedication of youth and blood and pride, the deep feeling of the beauty of military life, in one green feeling condensed into a green phalanx, without complaint and regret to guard the sacred land and proud.

In the barracks of the troops, it was clearly written: "Three major disciplines and eight points of attention" and "politically qualified, militarily competent, fine work style, strict discipline, and effective guarantees." I suddenly felt infinite honor and responsibility. Everyone says, "I regret being a soldier for a lifetime, and being a soldier will never forget for a lifetime." This is absolutely true. The army is a melting pot and a big school, so that young people can be educated, their thinking can be advanced, their consciousness will be enhanced, and their discipline will be strict and their work style will be excellent. The troops are soldiers in the iron camp, nostalgic for the life of the troops, every time they see their familiar military uniforms, they think of that period of youth, and the time of the barracks of the troops seems to be in front of them.

Time flies, and the years fly by. Decades have passed, remembering my youth, I was full of enthusiasm and blood, in order to defend my family and defend the country, I threw myself into the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam that broke out on February 17, 1979. The world is like a white cloud dog, time is like a white colt passing through the gap, in the blink of an eye forty years have passed, the memory of heartache is still there. It was a time of burning passion that haunted me for countless days and nights. The rumbling of cannon fire was still in my ears, repeatedly waking me up from my deep sleep. Some people may have long forgotten all the tragic past and all the lovely warriors who died in that war, but I remember it in my heart and remember it vividly. Whenever I recall the bitter years when the smoke of the gunfire was billowing and the bloody and cruel, the tears that were difficult to control would always involuntarily gush into my heart.

Forty years ago, we, rejuvenated and full of blood, actively responded to the call of the Central Military Commission, fought to defend our homeland, fought to maintain peace, and fought to resolutely crack down on the arrogance of the enemy. Crossing in battle, advancing in the line of fire, bloody limbs flying, rumbling artillery fire raging, corpses strewn across the ground, a fragmented trench fortification, life and death in an instant. In order to occupy the commanding heights, we fight the enemy to the death, and the fighting spirit of fighting in spite of ourselves and forging ahead deserves to be remembered forever by future generations.

In the ten years before and after the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, countless Sons and Daughters of China bravely sacrificed their lives. Their sacrifices have laid a solid foundation for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation today and made great contributions to the happiness and well-being of the people. Forty years of chasing dreams, at the snap of a finger. The war is gone, and the wounds are remembered. Over the past forty years, we have never forgotten that period of glory; we must never forget the heroic deeds composed by countless lovely comrades-in-arms who are brave and tenacious and have firm convictions with their youthful enthusiasm and precious lives; and even more unforgettable are the rumbling cannons of southern Xinjiang that break the silence of the night, and the flames that soar into the sky cut through the night sky before dawn, and countless comrades-in-arms brave the enemy's guns and bullets to sprinkle blood on the battlefield and bravely move forward, preferring "the head can be broken and the blood can flow" to defend every inch of the motherland's great feelings.

Who was the cutest person of that era? It was they—the soldiers who fought and died heroically in the fight back against Vietnam. They are a model of the times, for the happiness of the people and the dignity of the motherland, one is not afraid of suffering, the other is not afraid of death, do not hesitate to throw away their heads, spill blood, but also to defend every position, people are in the position. "In order to have the courage to sacrifice more, dare to call the sun and the moon for a new day", "would rather go forward and die, rather than take half a step back to live", is their heroic ambition and brilliant portrayal as soldiers of the times.

Decades have passed since I served as a soldier, I have participated in wars, and I still miss the barracks life at that time, and I always have deep respect for the mighty and indomitable spirit, the proud mind, and the courageous and loyal character of the soldiers. Defending the frontier spilled blood, blood stained style red flag fluttering. Iron camps, flowing soldiers. As a lover of literature and a witness to that war, with thousands of knots in my heart and feelings in the barracks, I have the responsibility and obligation to record the stories of that era with the pen in my hand, and inherit the noble qualities and precious spirit of the soldiers of that era. Many of my comrades-in-arms, who were also witnesses to that war, gave great support and encouragement to my writing, and strengthened my confidence in writing.

Due to the limited level of writing and repeated considerations, I decided to record the tragic and magnificent history that was gradually forgotten in the form of a poetry collection, so as to show the bits and pieces of military camp life in that era, as well as the fearless spirit and noble integrity of soldiers who dared to go up the mountain of swords, dare to go down to the sea of fire, and dare to fight a hard battle, so that the next generation can remember history, learn from history, and carry forward the past. Heroes do not ask the provenance, the mission comes from the heart, only to live up to the people's trust, to live up to the expectations of the motherland, countless martyrs have left their precious lives in the cruel battlefield. Let us remember them and pay them the highest consideration. Nostalgic for the years of youth, nostalgia for defending the motherland, defending the frontier battles day and night, the true color of soldiers is to retire and not to fade.

We live in a peaceful social environment now, because there are still people who carry the weight for you. This sense of security is like air, sometimes not aware of it, and sometimes it is particularly obvious when it is not. In the face of difficulties, the motherland has given us the highest level of security, here I want to say that there is no regret in this life into China, let us praise the prosperity of the motherland together! Willing to work hard for the construction of the motherland for life!

When he went to work in local areas, he always adhered to the arduous work style of the troops, continued to carry forward the glorious fine traditions of our army, set strict demands on himself at all times, and insisted on reading and studying, reading newspapers, and taking notes for a long time. In the process of continuous learning, over time he embarked on the road of literature, loving to write poetry, prose poems, prose, miscellaneous talks, travelogues, essays and military poetry articles, ode to the new era, and promote positive energy as part of amateur interests and hobbies.
