The two sides held friendly and in-depth exchanges on china-Serbian friendly and cooperative relations, the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and the Cyprus issue.

　　Ambassador Liu spoke highly of the development achievements and cooperation achievements in bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cyprus in the past 50 years, stressing that the two countries share common principles and values, political mutual trust is deepening, mutual support is firmly supporting each other on issues involving each other's core interests, exchanges at all levels and cooperation in various fields are expanding, and joint efforts are made to build a green, healthy and digital "Silk Road", and the strategy of bilateral relations is constantly rising. China strictly abides by the one-Cyprus principle and is willing to continue to play a constructive role as a permanent member of the Security Council to promote a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement of the Cyprus issue within the framework of relevant United Nations resolutions.

　　Foreign Minister Christo Duridis fully agreed with what Ambassador Liu said and said that the development of friendly and cooperative relations with China has become the general consensus of all circles in Cyprus and is also a priority for the Cypriot Government. The two countries should take advantage of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year to elevate bilateral relations to a higher level. The Cypriot government firmly abides by the one-China principle and expects China, as a country with important global influence, to continue to uphold justice for the Cypriot side on the UNITED Nations Security Council and other occasions, and to continuously push forward the political settlement process of the Cyprus issue.

　　Ambassador Liu also introduced the "Global Development Initiative" put forward by President Xi Jinping at the general debate of the 76th session of the UNITED Nations General Assembly and the important speech at the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the legitimate seat of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations, and explained in depth China's independent foreign policy of peace and the common values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom for all mankind. He highly appreciates China's major development achievements in the 50 years since the restoration of its legitimate seat in the United Nations and its outstanding contributions to the cause of world peace and development, and believes that China will continue to firmly safeguard the authority and status of the United Nations, safeguard international fairness and justice, and practice multilateralism.
