Behind the scenes| wheelchair Latin dancer Chen Zhigang: In order to achieve "man-car integration", he could not bend his waist

At the cultural and sports exhibition of the closing ceremony of the 11th National Paralympic Games and the 8th Special Olympics, Chen Zhigang showed a wonderful wheelchair Latin dance with his dance partner with his superb skills, which highlighted the concept of disability integration in this way.

Chen Zhigang is from Wuhan, Hubei Province, and there are many wheelchair dance teams in his hometown, and the team members join the wheelchair dance, wheelchair Latin, wheelchair modernity and other projects according to their preferences to carry out professional training.

Before 2009, Chen Zhigang was a singer, and he did not know that a wheelchair could be used to dance. Later, "wheelchair dance" appeared in Chen Zhigang's life, and since then his life has been more light.

The Latin dance posture is graceful and upright, and when practicing, you must first make your back stand up and keep it upright throughout the dance. In order to practice this "standing", Chen Zhi just started to "hard bump" with himself, keeping his back upright for three hours without moving, and as a result, he couldn't bend his waist. Chen Zhigang practiced sitting upright for at least half an hour every day, and gradually reached a long-term upright state.

Chen Zhigang told reporters that if you want to jump in a wheelchair Latin, the core strength is the most important. If you don't have the strength, the wheelchair can't push straight, let alone dance. In addition, when doing two-person confrontation movements with dance partners, it is necessary to maintain a safe distance on the basis of precise control of the wheelchair, and to achieve "human-vehicle integration". If the control fails, the dance movements of the two sides become pulling each other, and the movement deformation is still secondary, which may roll onto the feet of the dance partner, resulting in injury.

"These actions seem not difficult, but in fact, the technical content is not low." If you are not well controlled when you dance with your dance partner, or if you are fast and slow, you will most likely be thrown out. Chen Zhigang said.

Coming to Xi'an to participate in the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games, Chen Zhigang felt very honored and cherished this opportunity to understand Shaanxi. He shared with reporters that he was eager to eat hot dry noodles for three meals a day in Wuhan, and when he first came to Xi'an, he was startled by the "old bowl noodles" in Shaanxi. "The amount of noodles in Shaanxi is too big, the people of Shaanxi are too real, and I can't finish eating a small portion."
