Tashkent, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan President Mirziyoyev recently signed a resolution on the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports. The document states that at the end of this year, Uzbekistan's State Holding Company of Oil and Gas will sponsor the establishment of the "Karabair" horse farm in Kashkadaria Oblast.
According to the Central Asia News Agency, Tashkent also plans to create two "Ahartek" horse farms and a sport-type horse farm. At the same time, Uzbekistan will establish training schools for coaches, equestrian referees and veterinarians.
The Presidential Decree pointed out that the "Akhaltek" and "Karabayr" stallions will be bred in Uzbekistan and a unified institution will be established to correctly train sports and service-oriented horses by learning from advanced horse breeding experience abroad. At the same time, it is also necessary to actively promote and popularize equestrian sports to the general public, especially young people.
