summer
Especially lately, it's been hot and humid and rainy
For people who attract mosquitoes "physique"
It was a nightmare
5 minutes out
A dozen bags itch you doubt life
▽
And fight mosquitoes
You can never escape a "law of death"
Turned off the lights and kept calling in my ears
The lights were turned on but never turned on
What's even worse
You abuse mosquitoes a thousand times
Mosquitoes treat you like first love
Next time I will look for you, I will look for you, and I will look for you...
Everyone encounters mosquitoes as if they are facing a great enemy
But I, Liu Yang, is an exception
Not only am I not afraid
He also likes to "chase" mosquitoes
The fiercest one
Run to the pit to catch mosquitoes
Mosquitoes are in my eyes, and that's a baby.
I often run to the streams in the countryside and the jungle to catch mosquitoes. Almost every time, it was a frantic temptation on the edge of danger.
Once, I ran to the farmer's vegetable field, found a bucket of manure filled with "organic fertilizer", fished for mosquito larvae, and was treated as a dung thief by the farmer, can you imagine me fishing out 1 spoon, 2 spoonfuls, 3 spoonfuls of manure water in front of a row of manure buckets of water... Satisfied look?
Another business trip to the hotel, at 2 a.m., occupational disease "attack", bare-chested in the hotel corridor to catch mosquitoes, by the passing hotel waiter as a neuropathy.
I also almost accidentally broke into the courtyard of the farmer, with 2 colleagues, unarmed, facing the "death gaze" of more than a dozen dogs brushing together, that big scene, now think of it is afraid.
Encounter poisonous snakes, bee stings, surrounded by a swarm of dark mosquitoes... Not to mention, it's all a common thing for us.
The question is, why do I have to be so "slutty"? Spending so much effort to run so far to catch mosquitoes?
Because I am a public health doctor at the Shenzhen Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention' Institute of Disinfection and Vector Biological Control, catching mosquitoes is one of my jobs
So why do you have to rummage through people's dung buckets? Isn't it okay to catch larvae in clear water?
That's because --
Some mosquitoes it only likes to eat
At present, there are more than 3600 species of mosquitoes in the world, and more than 80 diseases can be transmitted, including dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, malaria, Zika fever, filariasis and so on.
Don't think that a small mosquito is not enough to hang teeth, people are not vegetarians. If you want to rank on the "killing list", the dominant shark in the sea must call it "big brother".
According to the statistics of the World Health Organization, the number of mosquitoes killing in 1 day is more than the total number of sharks in 100 years!

My colleagues and I desperately caught mosquitoes in order to investigate the existing mosquito species in Shenzhen and better prevent the hidden dangers of diseases it may bring.
In 2019, we conducted 4 surveys in Shenzhen, collected a total of 340 vector biological specimens, and found 26 species after identification, including mosquitoes such as Culex triscarp-beaked mosquitoes, Dongxiang Aedes mosquitoes, Eddoles mosquitoes, white-breasted Culex mosquitoes, Anopheles multipoular and so on.
In addition, in Yangtai Mountain, Shenzhen City, not only was 1 new record mosquito species in Guangdong Province: Keli blue-ribbon mosquito species, but also 2 new record mosquito species in Shenzhen: Juvenile Culex mosquito and Culex leaf Culex mosquito.
Fished up mosquito larvae
The better the ecological environment, the more mosquito species there are, so always go to dangerous places such as the seashore, streams, and jungles in the countryside in order to track more mosquito tracks and ensure that there are no "fish that slip through the net" as much as possible.
And in addition to "catching mosquitoes", we also "raise mosquitoes"! The larvae are returned to grow into adult mosquitoes, to study the resistance of mosquitoes and to find better ways to deal with them.
As for why go to the dung bucket pit to catch mosquito larvae? Because the mosquito world also has "strange flowers", the growth habits of different mosquitoes are different, and some mosquitoes are fond of shi! Not fecal water, never spawning!
Let's come to Kangkang, the true face of this mosquito that loves poop:
It's not a nickname, it's really called "Harassing Aspensers"
The name is complaining, the habit is also complaining, do not love water, love to lay eggs in the dung pit fecal water, the larvae survive by eating feces. The body size is significantly larger than that of ordinary mosquitoes, the back of the abdomen is completely black, and the ventral surface is a conspicuous large white patch.
Thousands of harassing Edeldis larvae in the pit
They also suck blood more fiercely, and people have obvious pain after being bitten. They are also diligent thieves, and they will go out day and night to find "prey". What's worse is that it can spread diseases such as Japanese encephalitis.
Whether it is the farm fertilizer bucket in the vegetable field or the septic tank in the bathroom of the city park, it is its warm nest. Therefore, small pot friends who go to the toilet in the public toilet outside should pay attention to protecting their own small PP yo~
Wait, it grows up eating, so in case you get bitten and injected into the saliva in its body, isn't it equivalent to...
Having said all this, most people still can't avoid the fate of being bitten. Every time at this time, do you just want to ask the sky 500 times again?
Why do you love to bite me, you love to bite me
Just love to bite me???
Those who think that their blood is too sweet and the meat is too fragrant, stop your imagination that day.
According to our research, mosquitoes actually "locate" their "ingredients" according to human body temperature, carbon dioxide concentration, smell, color, etc.
Therefore, the "masters" who get the grace of mosquitoes in summer generally have the following characteristics:
Fast metabolism (e.g. children)
He loves to sweat, drink wine and eat meat
Carbon dioxide is emitted more
High body temperature and heavy makeup
Loves to wear dark clothes
Therefore, to let mosquitoes retreat, we must remember to avoid the above "minefields".
The most reliable method of repelling mosquitoes
The most important and simplest: clear the water! Clear the water! Clear the water! These three words we have already said suck.
This has been done, or there are mosquitoes, how to do it?
If you are indoors, the best thing to do is to turn on the air conditioner.
When mosquitoes are above 37 ° C, they can bite you at once
When the temperature is below 27 ° C, the enthusiasm of mosquitoes to bite people is greatly reduced
Below 17 ° C, basically do not bite (which is why there are fewer mosquitoes in winter than in summer)
If you are outdoors, you can bring a mosquito repellent with you.
The odor emitted by the repellent is equivalent to "wearing" a protective cover on the surface of the skin, which can effectively "scare off" the mosquitoes.
When choosing a mosquito repellent, it should be noted that flower lotion water is not equal to mosquito repellent, and these 4 active ingredients can be identified: DEET, mosquito repellent ester, ecaretine, and lemon eucalyptus oil.
Key points: Children under one year of age should avoid the use of mosquito repellents and try to choose physical repellent methods, such as: wearing long sleeves and trousers, hanging mosquito nets (if necessary, please use mosquito repellent under the guidance of a regular doctor).
Never do this after being bitten
× Grab!
Why do you get itchy after being bitten by a mosquito?
Because when mosquitoes bite you, they will "spit" into the skin, this "saliva" is an allergen for the human body, and after the immune system senses it, it will release "histamine", and histamine is the "culprit" that causes itching.
If you scratch more, the "histamine" will follow the traces of your scratching and expand its "claws" to the periphery, so it will scratch more and more itchy.
× draw a cross!
If you want to name the top ten unsolved mysteries of mankind, this one must definitely have a name!
Why do you want to cross after being bitten by a mosquito? Could it be that mosquitoes, like vampires, are blood-sucking? Can a cross calm the itch?
If you want to scratch it, it's not impossible, but it's useless, and it will look like you're particularly silly and cute.
Of course
Finally if you still want to ask
How to scientifically let mosquitoes bite others?
Quite simply, make a friend like that
And finally
In fact, our greater Guangxi is also rich in mosquito drops
CdC at all levels also has such a group of people
And mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, rats...
is the most familiar stranger
