Zhu Shouchang's abandonment of the official in search of his mother was deeply moving. When Zhu Shouchang was seven years old, his father divorced his mother. After he established his own family, he resigned to look for his birth mother. After many inquiries and hardships, he finally found his mother.
Su Shi and Zhu Shouchang were contemporaries and good friends, and wrote poems praising his actions:
When Jun jun was seven years old, he knew his mother, and his heart grew more and more bitter.
Envy King's Landing is old enough to meet, and the joy is like a rain of tears.
Even if you record an episode of "Waiting for Me" now, it is also a good program that is touching and tear-jerking.
Lu Jihuai's orange widow is vivid and interesting. When Lu Ji was six years old, he followed his father to Yuan Shu's house as a guest and stole two oranges. Yuan Shu saw it and joked, "Lu Lang eats and takes?" Lu Ji replied, "My mother likes to eat oranges, and I want to bring them back to my mother to taste." Yuan Shu was amazed.
This is the only story of the Twenty-Four Filial Pieties without blood and tears, and it is also the only positive image that Yuan Shu has left us.
However, this story takes place among the nobles, there is no material scarcity, there is no moral dilemma.
Most of the remaining examples are of the poor. For example, 100 miles of negative rice, Zilu got a bag of rice, tirelessly carried back home for a long time, and brought it to his parents.
Zi Lu was tired, while his classmate Min ZiQian was tired. Min Ziqian was abused by her stepmother, and the cotton jacket was made of reed flowers and did not keep warm at all. After the father knew, he wanted to leave the stepmother, and Min Ziqian said the truth that "the mother is in one son, and the mother goes to the third son", which made the father and stepmother moved.
Lu Yi Shun's mother, put it now is also a family problem.

The most tragic, of course, is Guo Ju buried.
A family tragedy creates a moral model. Turning bad things into good news, the pole is too hard.
Ancient people are not all fools, Dai Jun'en of the Ming Dynasty said: "Guo Ju buried his mother, and Yi Ya killed his son to flatter the king. ”
Yuan Ming of the Qing Dynasty said: "(Guo Ju) is notorious for his mother, but for filial piety." ”
However, in an era of extreme material scarcity, it is a difficult question of who should leave the limited food.
China has stories of changing children and eating them, and there are stories of drowning babies. Changing children and eating is only done in the time of absolute famine, but drowning babies often occur.
Back to Su Shi and Zhu Shouchang. When Su Shi was demoted to Huangzhou, he heard that the local area generally only raised two sons and one daughter, and drowned many people.
Su Shi "smelled sour and bitter, and could not eat", and wrote a letter to Zhu Shouchang, who was then too conservative, in which he suggested that we should do a good job in popularizing the law and let people know that parents killing their children is also a crime and must also be sentenced.
At the same time, Su Shi suggested collecting donations from the society to help the poor families who gave birth to babies. As long as you don't drown at birth, raise for a period of time, parents have feelings for their children, they can't bear to kill again.

There is a similar story about Guo Ju selling children in the Yuan Dynasty.
Zhang Yanghao resigned and returned to his hometown of Jinan, no longer wading through the muddy waters of the imperial court. The imperial court issued a letter of appointment seven times, the first six times he refused, and the seventh time because of the severe drought in Guanzhong, he was entrusted to shaanxi to relieve the disaster, and he did not hesitate to agree.
In the disaster relief, Zhang Yanghao heard about one thing: there were families in the folk who killed their children because of famine to support their mothers.
What is Zhang Yanghao's attitude? Hang a big red flower and a plaque for your filial piety? No. Zhang Yanghao "mourned for it" and took out his own money to help the family.
"Prosper, the people suffer; death, the people suffer." The man who can make such a historical lament must be a great humanitarian.

The conditions of existence determine the level of morality.
There is a famous Japanese film "The Examination of the Mountain Festival", in the isolated and poor mountain villages, there are strange customs, men reach the age of seventy, women reach the age of sixty, they have to be carried by their sons to the mountain, let them fend for themselves, freeze and starve to death.
This is not the most terrible, the most terrible thing is that this kind of behavior has been sanctified, and it is called "worship of the mountain god". Sons who do not do so will become laughing stocks and will not be able to raise their heads among the villagers.
In the soil of poverty, not only will the flowers of cruelty bloom, but also the fruit of ignorance.

Guo Ju left the right to subsistence to his parents and gave up his children, while the people of Lingshan left the right to subsistence to their children and gave up their parents.
These two choices for society, for families, and for individuals are a great tragedy and shame.
Even if it is really exhausted, and his mother and son can only choose one or the other, this choice is only worthy of sympathy, not praise.
It is inhumane to carry parents to the mountains and wait for death, to pay homage to the mountain gods in the name of honor, to enshrine those who bury their sons alive for their adoptive mothers, to paint blood and tears into pictures, and to sing tragedies into hymns.
Filial piety, one end is connected to family affection, the other end is connected to humanity.
Filial piety begins with affection. A person who does not care about family affection is of doubtful character. It makes sense not to be filial, not to have deep friendships.
Ji Xianlin said very simply: "When I was a child, my parents raised their children, and without this kind of support, their children could not survive. Parents are old, children to support, not to say that it is a favor, it is also humane. ”
Filial piety cannot be divorced from humanitarianism. Losing humanitarianism, filial piety has walked to the altar, infinitely elevated, and used all kinds of extremes. What lies on the ice to ask for carp, cut the strands to heal relatives, and bury the children and serve the mother has become a matter of course.

The third sentence is from Mencius: Lazy of his limbs, regardless of the support of his parents, no filial piety.
Family is always the driving force for a person to be self-motivated.
The fourth sentence is from de Armichees's The Education of Love: If a man makes his mother sad and miserable, no matter how famous he is and how prominent his status is, he is a despicable person.
The fifth sentence comes out of Beyond's "Really Love You":
The spring wind and rain warmed my heart, and I gave it away wordlessly for a lifetime
It was what a warm gaze it was that taught me to look resolutely at the road ahead
I was told that I should not give up when I fell, and I could not explain how I could repay my kindness
Love is infinite, please allow me to say that I really love you
This is almost the song version of Mengjiao's "Wandering Zi Yin", the same deep feelings, the same touching.
