On October 31, 2021, the inaugural meeting of Changzhou Xinbei District Calligraphers Association and Artists Association was successfully held in the conference center of Changzhou Xinqiao Senior High School.

At the meeting, Chairman Xuan Yuxing, former chairman of the Calligraphy and Painting Association, congratulated the establishment of the Two Professional Associations of Calligraphers and Artists of the New North District. Since 2006, the New North District Calligraphy and Painting Association has organized a calligraphy and painting exhibition on the theme of "learning history, determination, reverence, and benevolence" for primary and secondary school students in The New North District; "Welcoming the Nineteenth National Congress, Creating New Glory" and the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the High-tech Zone And Publishing Excellent Works Exhibition; Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition; Epidemic Prevention and Control Charity Exhibition; "Celebrating a Well-off Society" New Year and other theme calligraphy and painting works exhibition, He co-organized important exhibitions such as the General of the Republic Calligraphy Exhibition, and raised more than 50,000 yuan to support poor students through the charity sale of his works. The backbone team of members continues to grow, with more than 30 members at the national level and more than 100 members at the municipal level. It has formed a fine style of seeking truth and being pragmatic and united and upward. It is hoped that the newly established association can follow the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping, adhere to the people-centered orientation, create works that carry forward the excellent traditional culture and Chinese spirit of the Chinese nation, and contribute to the prosperity of the literary and artistic undertakings of the New North District.
The meeting deliberated and adopted the "Constitution of Changzhou Xinbei District Calligraphers Association (Draft)", "Changzhou Xinbei District Artists Association Charter (Draft)" and other documents, elected two professional associations of a first session of the first council and leading body, the former Changzhou Xinbei District Calligraphy and Painting Association Executive Vice Chairman, Changzhou Star Menghe Benz General Manager Yu Lixin was elected as the first chairman of Changzhou Xinbei District Calligraphers Association. Chairman Yu said that this year coincides with the centenary of the Communist Party of China, standing at this new historical starting point, he will organize the association to conscientiously abide by national and local laws and regulations, abide by and maintain the association's charter and system, resolutely obey the leadership and management of the district literary federation, and lead the association to complete the various tasks assigned by the district literary federation without discount or condition, so as to make positive contributions to the cultural prosperity and economic and social development of the district. The new association further emancipates the mind, updates the concept, constantly innovates the operating mechanism, strives to build an innovative association and a service-oriented association, actively organizes and carries out colorful social calligraphy activities, continuously expands the influence of the association, vigorously carries forward traditional culture, actively explores the calligraphy market, develops the cultural industry, strives to make the association bigger and stronger, and makes the association truly become a "good assistant" for the party committee and government to contact members and a "good partner" for functional departments to carry out work.
