Written and directed by Jingran, starring Shang Yuxian, wang Yanhui specially starring, Lin Jingzhe starring in the family drama film "I Am the Guardian" was released on October 29. This is shang Yuxian's first time to pick a beam to star in the film, she plays the heroine Shi Lu, a newcomer to the workplace, but also a daughter who lacks father's love. After the screening, many viewers said that they did not recognize the stone road in the film, who spoke fluent English, but it was The rebel woman Kiko in "Detective Chinatown 2", praising her subversive appearance. More than five years have passed since his first appearance in the movie "Old Cannon", Shang Yuxian believes that his biggest change is that he is no longer afraid of the stage, and feels that he has begun to have a deeper understanding of acting: "Before I was young, I was a little panicked when I saw the big scenes, and I did what the director said, and there was a lack of communication with the director. Now many places understand, much better than before, can challenge themselves in many ways. ”

The biggest common denominator with the characters is stubbornness
In fact, the elders don't care if you are successful or not
"I Am the Guardian" began to prepare for casting a few years ago, and after putting all the actors' audition clips on the big screen, the director was immediately impressed by Shang Yuxian's delicate and sincere performance, and determined that she was the best candidate for Shilu in his mind. The first time she starred in the movie, Shang Yuxian felt that she was "a little tired", but she was very surprised to think that she could experience a role in a complete way and grow up with the role. In order to better understand this role, she herself went to New York, where the story takes place, in advance, and immersed herself in the environment to live according to the stone road.
"I Am the Guardian" tells a story of family entanglement, during Shi Lu (Shang Yuxian) studying in the United States, her divorced father (Wang Yanhui) quietly remarried in China, and shifted the focus of life to his newlywed wife and newborn son Cody (Lin Jingzhe). As a result, father and daughter are separated. The unavoidable affection left a scar in Shi Lu's heart, and she tried to find a sense of existence and belonging in her work, but unexpectedly encountered a visa crisis. Desperate, her estranged father suddenly called and asked her to arrange for her half-brother Cody to go to the United States to treat hepatitis C. In order to use his American brother to obtain a short-term work visa, Shilu had to agree against his will.

In Shang Yuxian's eyes, the biggest similarity between her and Shi Lu is stubbornness, she remembered that when she was young, her father did not support her as an actor, but she held her breath and "must do it", bent on making some achievements for her family: "Since I chose it myself, I will definitely make achievements to show you, I remember when I was an actor, I didn't go home for two years of spring festival, because I felt that if I didn't make achievements, I was unwilling to face them." Later, I talked to the elders about these ideas, and they said that this kind of thinking was unnecessary. After making this movie, I understand more and more the perspective of the elders, their starting point is mostly to care about children, in fact, do not mind too much whether you have achieved fame or not, but we just care, but at that time I was very stubborn, it must be how. ”
Became famous because of the role of "Tang Detective KIKO"
But "I want to play something else"
Shang Yuxian starred in the movie "Detective Chinatown 2", KIKO, with a colored hair and two handsome braids, is a quirky two-dimensional high-IQ beautiful girl, even if the role is not much, but it has left a deep impression on the audience. Later, she played the same role again in the web drama "Detective Chinatown" and the film "Detective Chinatown 3", will she worry that she has been bound by the character image of KIKO? Shang Yuxian told the Beijing News reporter that she can say that she loves and hates KIKO, but along the way, she will indeed mix a lot of complicated emotions in the role.
"I think, as an actor, of course I want people to see something deeper in my performance. Of course, it is not that the role of KIKO is not good, or that the role is more facial and does not need to be performed, but in this role modeling, there may be too many external things that will distract the audience, such as her trendy clothes, her hairstyle and makeup. Shang Yuxian admitted that there was even a time when she thought that even if the role was played by another person, everyone would like it very much: "I think everyone likes the role of KIKO, not likes me." Because of this kind of thinking, there was a time when I was particularly entangled in one thing, for example, I knew very early on that "Detective Chinatown" would make web dramas, about a year or two ago, when I was more open-mouthed and very direct, directly saying to the boss or the producer, 'I want to act in something else'. For example, the more important female characters, because there are very few heroines and few scenes in the "Detective Chinatown" series, I have drilled into this mood for a while, and I am also very eager. ”

Shang Yuxian recalls that at that time, she had a mentality of wanting to break through the inherent role, she felt that she needed something else to prove herself, and she was also worried that she would be trapped in a very deep role impression. Subsequently, her boss and some seniors gave her a lot of inspiration: "The company told me that it did not stop you from playing other roles, and it is actually rare to play a more classic role to the extreme, and at the same time you can also contact many different projects." 」 Later, I gradually felt that I would not be afraid of being labeled or limited, and many of the projects I took over after KIKO, which were being filmed and not yet released, could show the audience a lot of different images, but it only took some time and opportunity. ”

In order to experience the "beauty drift" state of life, I don't look in the mirror in New York
Beijing News: This is your first "big heroine" to play such an important role in the movie, was there a lot of inner pressure when you first received the script?
Shang Yuxian: When I received this scene, I didn't think of the words "big heroine" at all, and I didn't know that this role had so many scenes, but I was more excited about shooting in the United States, and I had the opportunity to go there when I was shooting "Detective Chinatown 2" before, and I had a very fresh experience at the time, and I also felt that I had a special high (laughs).
Beijing News: You do have a good relationship with New York, and the previous shooting experience will be of great help to you in this performance, right?
Shang Yuxian: Yes, probably because I had to adapt to the atmosphere of New York in advance before shooting, to experience it on the ground, and to see what the state of the people living in New York was. When I was shooting Detective Chinatown 2, some scenes would be filmed for about a week, and there would be two or more days without my scenes, and I would go to the street every day. There will be some feelings about the state of life of New Yorkers.
Beijing News: This time the Stone Road you played is a "beautiful drift", which is a big gap with your role in KIKO in "Detective Chinatown", do you need a period of time to experience life?
Shang Yuxian: I didn't have the experience of studying in the United States, but I arrived in the United States about two weeks before filming began, and I began to feel life with my roles. Many living habits have also changed, for example, we usually wear makeup and look in the mirror every day, but Shilu simply does not have time to do that, and struggles for survival in the United States every day, so during that time I also quit looking in the mirror and tried to live in her state.

Beijing News: Have you seen Wang Yanhui's works before? How much time did you spend playing father and daughter this time?
Shang Yuxian: Of course, I have seen a lot of Teacher Wang's works, but when I met him, I stopped thinking about his previous roles, he was a brand new, the most suitable for this play (actor). I really don't feel the need for time to grind into the opponent's play, and I don't really have much time to give us time to grind. Because we only met in New York, the shooting started very smoothly and began to act, and even I expected that we might have some private communication, but in fact, there was no, so we directly came to play the opponent.
Beijing News: After the filming, did you gain more than one "father"?
Shang Yuxian: Yes, I will always call him Daddy (laughs).

Beijing News: In the film, the scene where Shi Lu quarrels with his brother and even throws things is impressive, it seems that both of them are emotionally broken? Did you bear to yell at such a cute child?
Shang Yuxian: Indeed, the actor who plays the younger brother is very good-looking, we only met in New York, he is very small, running towards me when he was at the airport, leaning on me, I was very worried, I wanted to arrange such a good-looking brother, how do I play? The director also saw my concern at that time, saying that you should not get too close to him, otherwise you will like him, and once you like it, there is no way to act. Therefore, the early director was more resistant to my brother's communication, because the two people in the play were not acquainted. So when I was filming the quarrel scene, because I also had very mixed feelings about children, to be honest, if they were very naughty, crying and making trouble, I would be bored, and my brother had been interfering with me at that time, so it was natural for me to erupt into irritability.
