Short poem: Life

Author: Elling

He may be licking his wounds.

She may be forcing a smile,

Or maybe he's drunk at a red light,

She betrays her old friends among the cubicles.

The story unfolds quietly,

The people on stage know nothing,

The morning fog obscured the plot,

People under the sun are pure.

People come and go on the street,

It's a big show.

It is also a silent contest.
