Tropical Storm Imelda hit Memerda and threatened with thunderstorms and flooding

According to the US Chinese Network, tropical storm Imelda made landfall in The Freeport of Texas, USA, causing extensive rainfall to the region. Although Imelda's power has weakened, thunderstorms and floods remain the biggest threats over the next 48 hours.

Widespread rains were reported in Texas after Imelda landed, with 9.16 inches of rainfall in southeastern Houston. At the same time, some peripheral wind circles brought storms to the Baturuge region of Louisiana, with winds as high as 70 mph.

As of the morning of the 18th, thunderstorm and flood observations in Texas and Louisiana continued, including areas such as Houston, Galveston and Lake Charles. Despite weakening, the remnants of Imelda continued to move slowly northward.

Moreover, as Imelda moved north, Hurricane Humberto became a major threat to the southeastern United States.

Currently, Humberto is a Category 3 hurricane with winds of 115 mph. Although it will currently move north away from the east coast, it is expected to bring large waves to the east coast. The highest waves will be in the north and south Carolina waters, and the wave height may exceed 3 meters.
