On October 28th, two exhibitions, including the Exhibition of Sword Relics in the Forbidden City and the Exhibition of "Chasing the Light and Chasing the Sword" - International Sword Art Exhibition, were launched at the Municipal Museum. This is a concentrated presentation from the Forbidden City to the world's ancient soldiers, from the traditional Chinese sword masterpieces to the foreign modern peak works, the interlacing of time and space, the interweaving of fire and steel, casting this sword art festival, showing a magnificent poem that inherits the past and forges ahead.
On the day of the launch, the reporter and Zheng Guorong, president of the Municipal Sword Industry Association and master of arts and crafts in Zhejiang Province, visited the exhibition site of the Dialogue between Longquan Sword and the World.
"The exhibits in the two exhibitions can be seen from the carving and forging of the sword body, which is of high taste, exquisite skill, and has a lot to see. All countries in the world are famous swords, and the styles of various ethnic groups formed are different. Longquan swords are mainly based on traditional craftsmanship, mostly long swords, and most of the foreign swords are modern crafts and short swords. Zheng Guorong said that this exhibition has played a good enlightenment role in the future design process learning and innovation, both from the aspects of craftsmanship and cultural meaning.
In the view of Chen Jianming, director of the Zhejiang Bronze Cold Weapon Culture Research Professional Committee, the holding of these two exhibitions can raise the vision of the Longquan sword industry to an unprecedented height, and there will be a higher goal for the development positioning of the sword culture, look at the international sword making technology and future development trend, take the excellent experience of others as a reference for development, in order to synchronize Longquan with the world, so that longquan sword culture can truly go to the world.
"Longquan is named after the sword, which is the place where the Chinese cold weapon culture is carried forward, and it is difficult to find a city with such a strong sword culture atmosphere in China." Weapons from ancient times to the present represent the highest level of contemporary science and technology, and Longquan is the starting point of this history of science and technology. Even the collections of the Forbidden City are inextricably linked to the Longquan culture. So we looked at the clues of all the exhibits and finally decided to host two exhibitions here. Chen Shengwen, curator of the Forbidden City Collection of Sword relics exhibition and "Chasing the Light and Chasing the Sword" - International Sword Art Exhibition, said that holding this heavyweight sword exhibition in Longquan is a return, a worship, and a tribute.
It is reported that the two exhibitions will last until January 6, 2022. The Forbidden City Collection of Swords and Sword Cultural Relics Exhibition exhibits a total of 20 cultural relics, including 1 first-class cultural relics and 19 second-class cultural relics; "Chasing the Light and Chasing the Sword" - the International Sword Art Exhibition includes three parts: folk collection of swords and cultural relics from various countries, contemporary international sword products and contemporary Longquan sword masterpieces, a total of 29 pieces of folk collection swords from 7 countries, 33 pieces of contemporary international sword works and 34 pieces of Longquan sword products from 9 countries.
