Kyrie Owen shares mystery messages on social media

On Monday, Kyrie Owen continued to let his fans speculate about his future in professional basketball, posting another mysterious message on Instagram.

On November 1, as the Instagram timeline was dominated by people dressed in Halloween costumes, Owen used the app to post a photo of Morpheus from the "Matrix" trilogy. The Brooklyn Nets point guard, who was not vaccinated from the team who had left, did not include the title, or any description of why he decided to share the photo.

In the comments section of his latest post, a handful of other Instagram users expressed support for Owen. As the chart above shows, former NBA player Stephon Marbury, who has defended Irving's stance against vaccination regulations in recent weeks, commented in a post: "It's more important than basketball. ”

Owen didn't make any statements about Morpheus' photos, so it's hard to speculate on his motivation for releasing the "Matrix" trilogy of characters. It's worth pointing out to those who have never seen a movie that Morpheus is one of the central figures and a strong leader.

Owen claimed he tried to be the "voice of the silent" by not getting the COVID-19 vaccine, but that was a direct violation of New York City's rules. The decision not to vaccinate will leave him out of all Nets home games this season.

Brooklyn didn't let Irving join as a half-participant, instead deciding to keep the seven-time All-Star-named man away from the team indefinitely.

Irving hasn't said he'll be back to the Nets this season, so it's unclear what his future holds when it comes to professional basketball. Unless he gets vaccinated, or New York City revokes his authorization, it's hard to see the point guard back on the brooklyn court this year.

Without Irving, the Nets started the game 4-3.
