In order to find out the identity of the murderer, the first step is to determine the location of the murderer's shooting, and soon, the relevant technical personnel determined that the shooting location was on Chang'an Avenue. The "murderer" did not stand on the streets of Chang'an to shoot, nor did he sit in the car to shoot, so where was the shooting position of the "murderer"? For a time, the investigation of the task force fell into a dead end, and at this time, the bold speculation of a young policeman made a new turn in the case.

At that time, China's ballistic analysis technology was not developed, the technology used in the survey basically came from the textbooks of the Soviet Union and other countries such as the United States, and the previous case investigations basically verified that the theories in the textbooks were very accurate, and just when all the investigators were convinced of the contents of the textbooks, a young policeman named Chen Jianhua suddenly raised questions.
Chen Jianhua was only 26 years old at the time, and he had not been a police officer for a long time, perhaps because of this, so he could see some things that the old police could not find. During the previous site survey, the careful Chen Jianhua found that the damaged glass in the Great Hall of the People was unevenly broken.

Since the glass in the Great Hall of the People is double-layered, the power and angle of the bullet have changed after penetrating the first layer of glass, so it is necessary to re-locate the position of the "murderer".
After Chen Jianhua explained his new point of view, the members of the task force suddenly realized that Yu Sang particularly agreed with Chen Jianhua's point of view, and in order to verify Chen Jianhua's speculation, Yu Sang also specially applied for special funds and the site of the Beijing Xishan Shooting Range to conduct simulation experiments.
In order to ensure the authenticity of the experiment, on the morning of February 5, two trucks of glass identical to the Great Hall of the People were transported to the Xishan Shooting Range, and then Yu Sang organized professional snipers to conduct shooting experiments.

For the results of this experiment, everyone in the task force was convinced, and then the residential area north of Chang'an Avenue became the focus of the task force.
After the investigation and visit of the locked area, the truth of the shooting became clearer and clearer, and when asking the residents in the area, many people said that they did hear gunshots that morning, and there were several sounds, but when asked about the specific location, everyone said that the distinction was not clear.
In the area locked by the task force, there are many households, the personnel are very complex, and the mobility is also very large, which undoubtedly greatly increases the difficulty of the investigation of the task force, and just when the task force personnel are helpless, a sentence from a janitor uncle makes everyone in the task force suddenly increase their vigilance.

On the west side of the south end of South Long Street, there is a special mansion, where some people with relatively special identities live, just in case, the task force still knocked on the door of the house, but just after entering the door, a small-caliber shotgun on the wall of the communication room suddenly made everyone nervous.

After a comparison of the special case team personnel, it was found that this small-caliber shotgun was not the same as the weapon that shot at the Great Hall of the People, and just as the special case team personnel were preparing to leave, the master of the communication room suddenly said: "These days, the children in the courtyard always shoot sparrows on the roof. ”
Hearing this, the members of the special case team immediately climbed onto the roof, and after observation, they found that the distance from the Great Hall of the People was exactly the same as the distance shown by the experimental results, and various clues showed that the "murderer" who shot the Great Hall of the People must be one of the children.
In order to find out the truth, but also in order to prevent problems before it happened, the special case team immediately questioned all the children in the house one by one, and after stripping away the cocoon, finally locked the gunman, but the identity of the other party made everyone in the special case team difficult, because the "murderer" of this shooting case was a high school student who was only 16 years old.
After questioning the high school student, the other party quickly admitted the fact that he shot the sparrow on the morning of February 2, and for the sake of safety, the special case team also analyzed the gun used by the high school student and finally determined that the great hall shooting was indeed unintentionally caused by the high school student when he shot the sparrow.
In the end, given the young age of the high school student and the fact that he had not caused too serious adverse effects, the police only severely criticized him and did not pursue his legal responsibility. But this unexpected case gave Premier Zhou a wake-up call.
