Guilin: Beyond the landscape

Guilin: Beyond the landscape

The two names of Guilin and Lijiang, in the hearts of many people, are synonymous with good mountains and good mountains. A phrase "Guilin landscape and water in the world", from the chanting of scholars and doctors to the singing of primary school students, has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people for thousands of years, so that many people have a thought in their hearts: In their lifetime, we must look at the guilin landscape and roam the Li River.

When I arrived in Guilin, in addition to visiting the landscape, I think there are three more interesting places.

Fubo Mountain: A natural hall for the citizens of Guilin

Fubo Mountain is in the east of Guilin City, this small hill with little altitude, has experienced hundreds of millions of years of wind and rain erosion, forming a lone peak, bordering the city in the west and the Li River in the east. Fubo Mountain has a piercing hole, which is a path through the shadows - one end is the urban area, the other is the river. Some people play their bamboo flutes, and there is no one around; there are people who play handstands here, and some people practice their voices here, each with their own fun. I was admiring these folk untrouted "bands" when I suddenly heard a "poof" sound coming from the riverside, and there were several people wearing swimming hats resting outside the cave, and someone outside the cave fell from the sky and was diving.

Walking out of the cave, I saw the Li River sparkling and scaly in the morning glow, and many people in the river were swimming. The altitude is not high Fubo Mountain, rising from the plain, looks tall and handsome, karst landform in the years formed a concave and convex shape, just some "5 meters" "10 meters" natural jumping platform, to the water people to provide good conditions, it is estimated that Guilin's folk diving is the top of the country.

Friends who are interested in history and culture, you can look at the Cliff Statue and Calligraphy and Painting Stone Carvings of Fubo Mountain, the Cliff Statue here began in the Tang Dynasty, with a history of more than 1,000 years, all generations have been excavated, and most of the calligraphy stone carvings are the poems of Ji You, outlining the humanistic charm of Guilin in the past. Among them, the most precious one is a stone carving of a calligraphy work when he was an official in Guilin, and even more precious is the self-portrait of Mi Fu, because on this stone carving, the ink of four Song Dynasty masters, Mi Fu, Zhao Shuo, Mi Youren and Fang Xinru, was concentrated!

Dragon Hidden Cave: There are thousands of years of past in the water

Longyin Cave is also on the edge of the Li River, the stone carvings inside are very cultural, the stone carvings here are mainly calligraphy works, there are records of political affairs, there are also travelogues to watch mountains and rivers and enjoy flowers, such as Tang "Pingman Stele", Song "Great Song Pingman Stele", "Pingman Three Generals Inscription Stele", Yuan "Guangxi Dao PingmanJi", Ming "Zheng Gutian Banshi Travel Poems" and so on. These inscriptions record the contradictions, uprisings and pacifications between the ethnic minorities and dynasties in the Guilin area at that time, which are of considerable significance for the study of the politics and economy of the time. For example, the Song Dynasty engraved the "Inscription Of the Three Generals of Pingman", which records the achievements of the famous generals Di Qing and Sun Qi and Yu Jing to quell the rebellion of the leaders of the ethnic minorities in Guangyuan Prefecture under the jurisdiction of Yongzhou. At the same time, there is no shortage of calligraphy masterpieces. Among them, the most precious is also the poetry and book work of Mi Fu, who is jointly known as the "Song Sijia" with Cai Xiang, Su Shi and Huang Tingjian: "Mi Fu Cheng Festival Singing and Poetry" is engraved in the Longyin Cave. These three works were made by Mi Fu in different periods, and the artistic achievements are different! It is rare that Guilin can bring together three works that represent all his achievements in one place.

Unexpectedly, the ancient literati liked to travel, and there was a reason for it. In the Dragon Hidden Cave, the inscription also has a travelogue, and Chen Yuanlong, the inspector of Guangxi in the Qing Dynasty, wrote in a poem "You Long Hidden Cave": "Looking at the mountains is like looking at the paintings, and traveling the mountains is like reading history." "In fact, compared with the current era of tourism, how many people are traveling with such a original intention?

Jingjiang Wangfu: Shi Tao's home

After visiting Fubo Mountain and Longyin Cave, I went to the Jingjiang Wangfu, which is now the seat of Guangxi Normal University. I didn't think that this was the home of Shi Tao, a famous painter of the Qing Dynasty!

In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, four monks became very famous and were known as the "Four Monks of the Painting World": Hongren, Jia Yan, Zhu Yun and Shi Tao.

This Jingjiang Palace was the place where Shi Tao was born, and he never dreamed that he would go from being the son of a king of the clan to a monk of pure suffering, and his name would remain in history.

The fate of life often does not allow you to design, if his father, Zhu Hengjia, after the Chongzhen Emperor hanged himself, did not participate in the royal battle and died and died. Shi Tao, it is estimated, is still leisurely in the Jingjiang Palace. If, until the Ming Dynasty is completely destroyed, what will his fate be? History and life do not have so many hypotheticals.

The fact is that he was led by the eunuch to go out of the state, and it is said that he ate bitter melon every day, which is said to be a bit unreliable, and it is estimated that there were no anti-seasonal vegetables at that time. In any case, he was famous in the painting world, very famous, even the Kangxi Emperor had met him, and the entire painting world knew that he had a nickname: Bitter Melon Monk, and wrote "Quotations of Bitter Melon Monk Paintings" passed down through the generations.

The Jingjiang Palace where he was born, experienced many military disasters, and the old relics of the palace only left the carved railings and cloud steps in front of the palace.

The Duxiu Peak he relied on left behind many famous words. Among them, the most well-known: "Guilin Landscape jia tianxia" is impressive, and its author is Wang Zhenggong, a scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty.
