According to a number of Hong Kong media sources such as Toutiao Daily, Lai Xiaotian, a 73-year-old veteran Hong Kong musician, died of illness in Hong Kong at 7:55 a.m. on December 1 at the age of 73.

Public information shows that Li Xiaotian was born into a musical family. He won the third place in THE first "Composition Invitational Competition" of TVB in 1973, and later began his career as a music composer, writing a number of well-known songs, including "Grace of the Earth", "Rouge Buckle", "When People Are On the Road" and "Dramatic Life".

Li Xiaotian's representative works include the theme song "The Great Wall Never Falls" sung by Ye Zhentang in the 1980s hit TV series "The Great Hero Huo Yuanjia". The song was written by Lu Guozhan and composed by Li Xiaotian.

Before his death, Li Xiaotian served as a music producer, and successively won singers such as Mei Yanfang, Zhang Guorong, and Lü Fang. Li Xiaotian has also participated in TV drama performances, including "Huanhua Wash Sword Record", "Sweet Twenty Four Tastes", etc., as well as investing in the film "Miracle".

According to a number of Hong Kong media reports, Li Xiaotian was hospitalized in May this year, when he revealed that he was suffering from pneumonia. In order to recuperate, he resigned from the wireless program "50 Years of Popular Classics". After that, his condition improved, and he attended the celebration banquet with veteran artist Xue Jiayan. On November 29, the news came back that Li Xiaotian was seriously ill.
