The turquoise swimming pool, at first glance, is crystal clear and clean to the naked eye. But in fact?
In 2019, expert engineers from the Guangzhou Institute of Microbiology tested 6 routine projects, of which the total number of free residual chlorine and bacteria did not meet the standards; on July 27 this year, the Shenzhen Municipal Health Supervision Bureau announced the results of the first batch of water quality sampling in the city's swimming places in 2021, and found 26 of the 468 swimming pools that were unqualified. Both of these results point to the fact that the pool is dirty.

The health problems of the pool have bothered many parents, who want their children to swim, but they are worried that there are too many "ingredients" inside.
Previously, in a survey, 19% of people admitted that they had peed in the pool. To know that it is good to have the courage to admit it, and how many people try to solve the problem conveniently, we can't get some monitor and tie it to people's private parts; how much urine there is on average in a swimming pool, no one knows the answer.
There is no answer, which makes people even more disturbing.
Professor Xingfang Li's team from the University of Alberta in Canada came up with a assay method. Find a certain substance that can be quantified from the urine, analyze its content in the pool, and don't you know how much urine is contained in the pool?
After several explorations, the researchers set their sights on a substance that is abundantly present in food, acesulfame potassium, what it is like to enter the human body, what it is to excrete, and what it is very stable in water.
With the benchmark in mind, the researchers began collecting water samples, and they collected 87 samples from two Canadian cities to estimate the concentration of acesulfame potassium. The results were staggering: the average concentration of acesulfame potassium in the urine of adult Canadians was 2360 nanograms per milliliter, which meant that up to 0.05% and 0.1% of the fluid in the pools of the two cities were urine, respectively! It is equivalent to a pool with nearly 100 bottles (500ml) of bottled water.
In addition to urine, there may also be a bit of "Yoneda Gong" in the pool.
It is estimated that the average "swimmer" will bring 0.14 grams of feces to the pool, and the amount of individual feces is staggering, and the yield can even reach 70 times the average. Especially the net red outdoor infinity pool, advanced bar ~ but people do not have anti-bird facilities, ah, suddenly flying over the head of a few birds, to give you some "mysterious gifts", you can only swallow the sound.

2. Urine in swimming pools can be harmful to physical and mental health

Urine itself is sterile, but it contains nitrogen-containing compounds such as urea, ammonia, amino acids, and creatinine that react with disinfectants such as chlorine to produce by-products. These by-products may irritate the eyes or respiratory tract and have been linked to asthma attacks.
When we go to the swimming pool, we all smell a "pungent" chemical smell, which is actually a substance produced by the reaction of urine and chlorine. When ammonia in the urine collides with the hypochlorous acid of the disinfectant, a series of chlorine-containing volatile substances are produced, which is what we call "pool taste" (dichloramine and trichloroamine).
Long-term exposure to these odors can cause irritation of the eyes, skin, or respiratory tract, creating an inflammatory response. And those less volatile chlorine compounds can also be used through the skin or accidentally drunk into the human body, thus causing harm to the human body.

three, go swimming in the pool, the woman will get pregnant? The odds are very small

When it comes to swimming safety, one is water quality safety, and the other is the problem of unintended pregnancy. In recent years, there have been occasional news breakouts: a man in the pool BIUBIU, resulting in a woman's unexpected pregnancy...
Can you get pregnant with a swim? How good the man's sperm quality was. In fact, there are still many conditions to be met to get pregnant in the pool.
Condition 1: Men have excellent sperm quality
The quality of sperm determines the fertility of men, and if the quality of sperm is low, such as too few quantities, low motility, and high deformity rate, it will directly reduce the possibility of female conception.
Condition two: The woman happens to be in the ovulation period
The ovulation period of the average woman is 14 days before the next menstrual period, 2-3 days before and after. However, due to psychological, physiological or environmental factors, the ovulation period is not stable.
Condition three: sperm and egg survival problems
Sperm are excellent and eggs are available, but whether they survive or not is also a technical job. The most suitable survival temperature for sperm and eggs is 32-36 ° C, while the water temperature in the pool is generally not higher than 30 ° C. In addition, the water in the pool is treated, such as disinfection, clarification, etc., in this sterilization environment, the survival time of sperm outside the male body will also be shortened, may only be half an hour, it will announce GAME OVER.
Condition four: break through the female self-protection mechanism
In the environment of the pool, the sperm experienced all kinds of difficulties and finally survived. Then it has to find eggs to complete its mission. Where are the eggs? That's past the "sea of people", women's swimsuits, vaginal openings, hymen, and so on. Unlike women in the sexual state, the vaginal opening is usually closed. Even through the vaginal opening, there is still a hymen level.
Therefore, for the probability of "whether you will accidentally get pregnant in the pool" is close to 0, rather than considering pregnancy, everyone should be more vigilant about dermatitis, eye diseases, otitis media and other diseases caused by unqualified water quality.
Of course, we should also be sure that swimming is a kind of whole-body exercise, which can not only lose weight, but also improve cardiopulmonary function, and even have a good preventive effect on some basic diseases, such as hyperlipidemia, spondylosis, arthritis, etc. Therefore, while swimming, we must also pay attention to protecting ourselves, try to choose a regular swimming pool, and apply a layer of sunscreen before swimming to isolate the contact between the skin and dirty things.
