Yesterday, an article titled "Shanghai Disneyland in the Eyes of Witnesses: Halloween Without Ghosts and Supermen, Orderly Urban Organization is the Golden Bell Cover" accompanied Disney's fireworks and swept widely on social media. The background of the screen is that at about 6 p.m. on October 31, Shanghai Disneyland announced an emergency closure due to the entry of positive people with new coronavirus nucleic acid, and all visitors who are already in the park need to undergo nucleic acid testing at the exit when leaving the park. This seems to be a sad and helpless story, but the protagonist of the article, Xie Shichen, as an ordinary Shanghai citizen, uses his real experience to bring a warm sun in the cold and ruthless epidemic and light up the temperature of the entire city.

What was the real situation at Disneyland that night? What are some of the details of the nucleic acid testing process that impress you? What happened during home isolation? With these questions in mind, on the evening of November 1, the Morning News reporter contacted Xie Shichen, and the following is the conversation between the Morning News reporter and Xie Shichen:

News Morning News: From last night to now, what kind of mood is it to see your story being swept across the Internet?

Xie Shichen: In fact, many media have contacted me today. I've always thought that for ordinary people, exposure is good or bad. But I just can't help but want to praise my city, Shanghai. Without any deliberate element, let's evaluate it objectively from the perspective of a witness.

Morning News: October 31 is Halloween and a magical night of experience at Shanghai Disneyland. What are some particularly impressive details about what happened last night?

Xie Shichen: Although it was only yesterday, it felt like a long time had passed. Yesterday was Halloween, and our family, like most tourists, went to Halloween. When we see the news, the first thing we think is that we are stuck here. But at Disneyland, if you turn off your phone, you will feel that everything is still so beautiful, and no one on the scene reveals anxiety or nervousness. Whether it's the boys in the store buying blankets to distribute to the girls they are traveling with, or the gentle tips coming from the radio, it makes people feel at ease.

Morning News: What stories or memorable details did you go home last night?

Shichen Xie: We left Disneyland at about eleven o'clock in the evening. It was very late, because the first time I did nucleic acid, there was a child crying, although the "whites" had been working for several hours, but when they saw the children crying, they still walked over and squatted down, and said softly to the child: Don't be afraid, it's like brushing your teeth. Under their comfort, the child did not cry the whole time, and I saw that the child's mother was also very happy and kept saying thank you to the medical staff.

When we finished doing the nucleic acid and were ready to go home, the whole square was alone, just a car for us. Because the bus came in time to pick up the tourists who traveled by public transportation.

My family lives in Xuhui District, and the first thing I do when I get home is to put all my clothes in a special bucket and wash them intensively. A friend sent us hairy crabs, and I also reminded my friends to put the crabs on the first floor and not to bother them.

Morning News: What's the story of staying at home? What do relatives and friends say?

Shichen Xie: Before I checked my nucleic acid test report, I saw the news that the results had come out — all negative. I was thinking that there must have been a lot of paramedics fighting all night last night to get the report out.

This morning, the neighborhood committee helped us arrange the precautions for home isolation in detail, including when to do nucleic acid testing, which is very intimate. You can feel the link by link, very fine management.

Some friends are worried about whether we slept at Disney last night (laughs), and friends remind us to keep our phones on battery. It is true that I have received a lot of meticulous care from relatives and friends.

Morning News: Did you pay attention to some of the comments online about your family's experience at Disney?

Xie Shichen: To be honest, I don't dare to watch it. A friend told me that the first piece of information on the Baidu homepage today is our news. But I don't think I'm deliberately exaggerating, it's just a real feeling that comes out of my heart.

Morning News: Home isolation continues. So far, after experiencing everything this magic, what is your biggest feeling?

Shichen Xie: Some people say that Disneyland is the most romantic place in the world. I met here something I will never forget. The biggest feeling is that it is very safe to live in such a city. Next, live more seriously and diligently. The city will give you more.
