
Wulu refers to the green tea of Wuyuan, Jiangxi, Wuyuan County was established in the 28th year of Tang Kaiyuan (740), after the establishment of the county has always been under the jurisdiction of Huizhou (shezhou, Xin'an County), until 1934 from Anhui into Jiangxi, in 1947 it was reassigned back to Anhui Province, in 1949 it was reclassified to Jiangxi Province. Therefore, Wuyuan green tea was exported by Anhui Tunxi refining and processing before 1949, collectively known as "Tun green".
Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province, is a mountainous area, the territory of the mountains, smoke clouds, warm climate, abundant rainfall, very suitable for the growth of tea plants.

William Ukus praised in his "Complete Book of Tea": "Wuyuan tea is not only the top quality of Luzhuang green tea, but also the best quality among Chinese green teas." "The color is blue and natural, the taste is fragrant and rich, and the water leaves are clear and moist" is the characteristic of Wuyuan green tea.
In the Song Dynasty, "Wuyuan Xieyuan Tea" was one of the six famous teas in the country. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, the "TianzhuFeng Tea" of Lingshan was listed as a tribute.
During the Qing Dynasty, Wuyuan Green Tea was famous for its export of the "Tun Green" brand. In particular, the "four famous" teas in Wuyuan Dongxiang are more famous, they are Xitou Pear Garden Tea, Yanshan Osmanthus Tree Bottom Tea, Dafa LingShan Tea, and Jixi Shangtanyuan Tea.
