In late autumn, it is the time of harvesting oil tea. Over the past few days, Huizhou District oil tea growers have entered the tea forest to pick oil tea seeds, and the shadows of the once silent mountains have flashed, showing a scene of harvest everywhere.
Walking into the Badou Forest Farm in Yangcun Township, only to see the rolling green waves of the oil tea forest rolling, the oil tea fruit hanging on the branches, the local villagers are skillfully picking the oil tea fruit, less than half an hour, everyone picked a large bag, and then concentrated on carrying to the storage point.

"Now is the time for farming, working here for 120 yuan a day, which can subsidize the family." Jiang Caixia, a villager in Yangcun Village, said that the Oil Tea Forest in Badou Forest Farm covers an area of 717 acres, which is transformed from a barren mountain. In 2009, Huangshan Yuzi Gui Tea Oil Co., Ltd. actively responded to the call to accelerate the development of the oil tea industry, leased the mountain farm, with the strong support of the district forestry department, Huangshan No. 1, No. 2, No. 6 and Changlin No. 4, No. 18, No. 40, No. 53 and other high-quality oil tea varieties, after years of careful care, has now reached the peak production period. Last year, the output of camellia oleifera fruit was nearly 50,000 catties, and this year's output was basically flat compared with that. The high-quality camellia oleifera varieties not only bring considerable economic benefits to the company, but also drive the local village collective economy and farmers to increase income.
"It is a better variety, my family planted more than three acres of land, more than double the previous, more than ten thousand yuan." The fruit is many, good and big. Yangcun villager Saturday Ni told the author that through the demonstration of forest farms, more and more farmers choose high-quality varieties.
Camellia oleifera is evergreen all year round and is an excellent tree species with good ecological and economic benefits. In recent years, Huizhou District has grasped Camellia oleifera as an important industry for green development and ecological enrichment, listed in one of the seven leading industries of agriculture in the region, and has successively issued the "Huizhou District Camellia Oleifera Industry Development Plan" and the "Huizhou District Characteristic Breeding Industry Poverty Alleviation Award Supplementary Measures", through policy-driven, scientific and technological-driven, scale-driven, vigorously promote the new construction and transformation of Camellia oleifera forests. In 2020, the area of camellia oleifera forests in the district has reached more than 30,000 mu, with a comprehensive benefit of more than 200 million yuan, and an average benefit of more than 3,000 yuan per mu, and it has walked out of a green water and green mountains and rich people's road.
