The main forum of the 2021 China Mobile Global Partner Conference was held in Guangzhou on the morning of November 2. Yang Jie, chairman of China Mobile, said in his keynote speech that China Mobile will make every effort to build a 5G boutique network with advanced technology and excellent quality covering the whole country to ensure that by the end of 2022, the continuous coverage of 5G above the township level in the country will be basically realized, as well as the effective coverage of important parks, hot spots and developed rural areas. Relying on 5G networks, we will innovate and promote high-quality, valuable and replicable product applications and improve the quality of information service supply.
Yang Jie introduced that China Mobile will deeply implement the national "East Number West Computing" project deployment, scientifically and rationally lay out data centers, give full play to the advantages of existing communication networks, comprehensively promote the maturity of computing network technology, industry, ecology and business model, and promote the network from connecting computing power to perception, bearing and allocation of computing power, so as to achieve ubiquitous computing power and symbiosis of computing network. Construct a computing network brain to realize the intelligent arrangement and unified management of computing network resources and capabilities. Integrate elements and computing power, and provide integrated services that change from "resource-based" to "task-based". Through the computing power network, we will further promote the upgrading of information service capabilities and supply upgrades, and promote the application of the computing power network in more fields such as national governance, social and people's livelihood, upgrading and transformation of traditional industries, and domestic and international market expansion, so that computing power can become a social-level service that can be "accessed at one point, ready to use" like water and electricity.
It is understood that the intelligent middle office capability service system built by China Mobile is an operating mechanism that organically combines and forms a series of elements such as application software, hardware equipment, platform, normative standards, organization, process, and culture. At present, 233 common capabilities have been aggregated, and the monthly call volume has exceeded 9 billion times. We will coordinate and promote the "business + data + technology" middle office and platform coordination linkage, and continuously accumulate capabilities, support development, and inject wisdom and empowerment. Internally support the digital and intelligent transformation of enterprises, form a positive cycle of internal resources, product services, and user needs, and empower all aspects of production and operation, management, and service.
At the meeting, Yang Jie put forward a three-point initiative for all walks of life in the industry. The first is to work together to promote 5G to exert greater social benefits. Jointly formulate international standards for 5G R17 and subsequent versions, promote innovative breakthroughs in basic theories and core technologies of information and communication, accelerate network coverage, vigorously develop multi-mode, multi-frequency, and multi-form intelligent terminals, accelerate the expansion of colorful products and services, application demonstrations, improve the level of 5G network security, and accelerate the integration of 5G into hundreds of industries and serve the public. The second is to work together to promote collaborative innovation of computing power networks. Formulate the technical route, target architecture, and standard system of the computing power network, coordinate to tackle common problems in the industrial chain such as security and energy consumption, coordinate the transfer of cross-regional and cross-operational main body computing power resources, explore cross-industry and cross-industry computing network joint experiments, and promote the green, safe and healthy development of the computing power network. The third is to work together to promote the application empowerment of smart middle office. Focusing on industrial development, technology evolution, application demand and other related fields, we will extensively gather the high-quality capabilities of industrial partners; optimize the unified portal of middle office and taiwan, accelerate the orderly, high-quality, and compliant opening of capabilities, jointly excavate new scenarios for commercial applications, and support the whole society to "use the cloud to empower wisdom".
