According to Lexington Network, former CBA Beijing Duck player Randolph Morris was indicted by U.S. prosecutors for concealing more than $13 million in taxes.
Morris was indicted by the federal government on 11 counts, including wire fraud and misrepresentation on tax returns.
According to the FBI, during his time at Peking Duck from 2010 to 2017, Morris failed to truthfully report on the income he received from Peking Duck on 1040 and 1040A statements, which cost Kentucky at least $400,000 in taxes.
Morris will face up to 20 years in prison for this, with a $250,000 fine for each wire transfer fraud offense. Morris faces up to three years in prison for making false statements on his tax returns.
For now, the date of Morris's attendance in federal court has not been determined.
Morris played for the CBA Beijing Ducks from 2010 to 2017, winning three league titles with the team and being elected the Most Valuable Player of the Finals in 2014.
