The visiting and research team came to Sihe Village in Xikou Town one after another, had face-to-face exchanges with the town party committee and government, the village branch and the two committees, and the village-based task force, learned more about the basic situation of the road construction, the development of advantageous industries, and the medical treatment in the Sihe Village, as well as the problems and difficulties in the process of rural revitalization, and listened carefully to the development ideas and opinions and suggestions on the work of pairing and supporting. During the discussion, the research team put forward specific ideas and plans for the support of students with family economic difficulties and the construction of village-level projects.
Chen Weimin, secretary of the party committee of Xikou Town, introduced that in order to consolidate the results of poverty alleviation, the town's party committee has strongly improved the business environment, clarified the tone of "industrial planning to rural tourism, infrastructure for tourism industry development", actively revitalized collective resources and assets, escorted the green development of the whole region, promoted the deep integration of agriculture and tourism around tourism projects, and increased the village's collective economic income through real industrial projects.
In the course of the visit, Zhang Rongyu, on behalf of the Education and Sports Bureau, expressed his position that as a paired assistance unit at the district level, the Education and Sports Bureau will unite with the village-based task force and work with the town and village cadres not to loosen up in ideological awareness, regard the matter of helping the village as its own affair, solidly carry out paired assistance, go into more villages and more households, solve practical difficulties and problems for the help villages, and enhance the quality and effectiveness of rural revitalization through "I do practical things for the masses."
It is reported that Sihe Village in Xikou Town is not only an old revolutionary area, but also rich in ecological resources. During the implementation of the work of poverty alleviation, in order to consolidate the industrial foundation, Sihe Village adhered to the industrial development idea of "combining long and short, taking the long with the short, and promoting the long with the short", and actively guided the masses to develop characteristic industries according to their own conditions in accordance with the development positioning of "the village has its own industry, the household has a way to get rich, and the people have a skill". Through the implementation of photovoltaic power plants, poverty alleviation workshops, farmhouses, tea and other project industries, the village has broadened the path to prosperity for the poor people and the village collective, and by 2016, the per capita disposable income of all poor households exceeded the provincial standard, the incidence of poverty was 0, and there were no cases of returning to poverty. In 2017, it successfully passed the third-party monitoring and evaluation of the provincial poverty alleviation and completed the listing of poor villages, and the collective income of the village reached 412,000 yuan in 2020.
