Interesting Film Industry: You Thought You've Come to the Villain Country? It's actually a miniature set of movies

In wonderful movies, self-heating is indispensable to large scenes, whether it is densely arranged high-rise buildings or cold and majestic mountains, spectacular sets can always mobilize the audience's emotions. In some large films with elements such as science fiction, magic, monsters, and mecha, how to show the "bigness" of monsters and other giant objects has become the most critical task of the prop group, and the maturity of computer special effects technology has made more and more directors begin to use green screen technology: first shoot with green screen, and then edit the background required to present a variety of spectacular scenes.

However, before computer technology was widely used, the high cost of equal-scale sets forced prop designers to do their best, and miniature sets became a very interesting scene in the history of the film industry: you can see a professional prop designer fiddling with props such as house trees like building blocks. The grand view of the city at night may be just a bunch of small houses, and the buildings destroyed by the monsters are actually just exquisite foam props. In the hands of a professional prop maker, reverse thinking is maximized – you don't need to create giants, just make other things smaller. Such ideas have been adopted in the behind-the-scenes production of many films, and it is admirable that the prop designers control and requirements for the details of the miniature set in order to bring the audience the closest visual experience to the real at the lowest cost.
