A mysterious animal that is hard to see: China's two dragon-phoenix neighbors, one like a unicorn, are on the verge of extinction
Dragons, phoenixes, and unicorns are mysterious animals in ancient Chinese legends, because their images are composed of several animals, so zoologists suspect that they really exist. But there are no strange things in the world, and animals that look very much like dragons and phoenix unicorns are real, but people don't name them after dragons and phoenix unicorns. These animals are mysterious and haunted, and it is difficult for people to see them. At present, there are two animals in China like dragons and phoenixes, and one animal in neighboring countries like the unicorn, both of which are on the verge of extinction.

"Phoenix Bird" - Red-bellied Golden Pheasant. This bird looks very much like the legendary phoenix, with a body length of 59-110 cm, a tail length of about 38-42 cm, and the male has gorgeous plumage, a golden yellow filamentary crown on the head, and the upper body is golden yellow except for the dark green on the upper back. The underparts are dark red , and the tail feathers are dark brown with cinnamon-yellow spots. The red-bellied golden pheasant is a bird endemic to China and is distributed in the Qinling region of Gansu and southern Shaanxi, China. Their actions are mysterious, very alert, timid and afraid of people, the slightest noise, immediately escape, flying image is very similar to the phoenix spreading its wings. Because of the frequent illegal predators, the wild red-bellied golden pheasant is becoming less and less common, China is listed as a second-class vulnerable animal, and the "World Conservation Union" is listed on the 2012 Red List of Threatened Species.
"Dragon-shaped beast" - yellow-striped stone dragon and blue-tailed stone dragon. These two animals look very similar to dragons, and the yellow-striped stone dragons are distributed in Beijing, Hebei, Liaoning, Hubei, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and other places. Blue-tailed stone dragon is also known as Liwen stone dragon in Taiwan, and the Chaoshan region is called "grass dragon", and legend has it that it was bitten to death by poison. These two animals are amphibious, mysterious and very rare, and have been listed as endangered species by China and the world.
In addition, there is an animal in Eastern Europe called the "blind salamander", which also looks like a dragon, and Croatia regards it as a "national treasure". The animal needs very little oxygen to survive, and can even go beyond a year without eating, and if there are no accidents, it can live for more than 100 years. This animal is also very rare and endangered.
"Asian Unicorn" - Central and Southern Gazelle. This animal looks most like the legendary unicorn, also known as the Wuguang cow, which is a monotype of the genus Zhongnan Oryx in the family Even-hoofed cattle. Distributed in Laos and Vietnam, it has two pointed horns up to half a meter long on the top of its head, resembling antelope, because it seems to have only one horn on the side, so it is also called "Asian unicorn". In 1992, the Zhongnan oryx was first discovered in the Annam Mountains of Vietnam, and was listed as a critically endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature due to its very small population and endangerment.
