The author, Mikiko Tamaki, was born on the outskirts of Tokyo and now lives in Minamishin-shi, a serial column about her daily life. What happens in the seasons in the village, the people and things you meet on the street, and the occasional trip are also told to you at will. This is the last episode of the Mexico tour. Tell me about the lives and ideas of the people who have taken care of me.
In Mexico City, I also went to the food market. At this store, I bought the beans that are common in Mexico. In retrospect, it was not pre-packaged, and now it is mainly sold in quantities. In Japan, too, I want to get back to this habit.
The three-reported trip to Mexico series also ended here. Today, like the cast, I would like to introduce you to those who have been taken care of on this trip.
The first was in Mexico City and San Cristobal de Las Casas took me on a tour of jellyfish ladies around. Okura, a 20-year-old friend, now runs a small Japanese restaurant, Mikura Sushi, in Sanguri.
Mizo sushi is a sushi roll and fried sushi, and a dessert matcha cake is also delicious. It's gratifying to be able to eat Japanese food in places far away from Japan. When you go to Sanguri, be sure to use it!
Mizo Sushi, a shop run by Sakurami Sako (right). Shop with counter and 3 tables and feel very comfortable. Takeaway is also available.
Teriyaki salmon rolls are one of my favorite dishes. Needless to say, the ingredients are delicious, even the rice and seaweed are delicious. It also comes with a "brine" made in-house!
Sakura graduated from a prestigious art university in Japan and went to art school in New York at the age of 20. After traveling the world from there, live in Central America.
Sometimes living on the island of Nicaragua, sometimes traveling to France while selling homemade ornaments, sometimes raising horses... listening to the first half of his life, full of startling anecdotes. But if you look closely into the depths of the choices she makes, you'll see that the axis of "how to live happily" is simple.
"That's how Kokura lives. So, what should I do?"
Meeting her and chatting endlessly, I probably always ask myself that. Past and present, they are important friends I respect.
The home of Kokura in Sanguri. There was sun in the yard, chairs in it, hammocks hanging from it, very comfortable and lovely.
The next thing to introduce is that while Sakura was working, it was her daughter Lena who took her to visit Sanguli.
Born in Japan, raised in Nicaragua, lived in Sankri for 4 years. The dream is to become an Instagram user! This is a cute 13-year-old girl (look for "Lena Hearts @ lenahearts07" on Instagram)
This is a photo of the atrium of the Sanguli Museum that was visited with Lena. On the feet are the favorite rubber-bottomed socks sent by my grandmother who lives in Japan. How stylish!
The city is fun and inspiring, with a sunny, sociable, sunny Lena with a sunny smile. I was able to get through the time. Thank you very much, Lena!
I love SNS and horseback riding as much as she does, and I'm also interested in the environmental damage caused by plastic waste. This time I got a lot of inspiration from that direct look.
Rena's work, "Collage 2020", which expresses this year's goal. His favorite subject is arithmetic, and I heard he wanted to go to Sean Mendes' concert! I'm still practicing guitar and ukulele
Since living in Tokyo, the bugs in my stomach have been moving regularly, and I want to travel outside of "here and now."
It's not just about tasting food and enjoying the scenery, but about experiencing more than one "natural" thing in the world countless times, and there are all kinds of times passing in the world. This feeling is especially strong on the first trip to Mexico. Still want to go!
One evening near the end of the trip, I went to a "frequented" stall at the invitation of Lena. On the small table are a lot of plain handmade snacks. What a happy childhood it was to be able to buy and eat like this. The bread that the woman had tasted was very sweet, sweet and delicious
So, the story of this trip lies here. Starting next time, I want to record things in my daily life again.
