Osmanthus trees, belonging to evergreen trees or shrubs, are generally 3-5 meters tall, up to about 18 meters high, and the bark is gray-brown.
Cinnamon peanuts are in the leaf axils, or nearly broom-shaped, with multiple flowers in each axilla; the bracts are broadly ovate, thick, and about 2–4 mm long.
The color of osmanthus flowers, due to their different varieties, is common in yellowish white, pale yellow, yellow or orange red.
