"This place is a red and yellow soil area, characterized by 'acid, stickiness, lean', and the grapes are perennial, and in the past, due to the improper use of fertilizer in the planting process, the soil acidification became more and more serious." In the Pujiang Soil Acidification Treatment Demonstration Base, Dr. Wang Feng of the Institute of Environmental Resources and Soil and Fertilizer is introducing the delegation, "In view of these problems, the Institute of Ring Soil of the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Provincial Tillage And Fertilizer Station have developed soil conditioners and special fertilizer products with the dual effects of fertilization and acid reduction, and summarized and proposed a suitable local soil acidification treatment technology model. ”

In the grape growing greenhouse, the expert team of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences is conducting experiments on different soil conditioners such as conventional fertilization, conventional fertilization + quicklime, and conventional fertilization + humic acid-containing soil conditioners.
Pujiang soil acidification treatment demonstration base is currently planted with 20 acres of sunshine roses, and the soil acidification situation is more serious before treatment, and the pH has reached about 4.8. The root system of the vines cultivated by such soil will not be developed, and it is easy to crack the fruit and hang the fruit firmly, which seriously affects the yield and quality of the grapes. "After comprehensive treatment, the pH has now reached about 5.4." Wang Feng said.
"We've been using soil conditioners and the pH of the soil is slowly improving, which is suitable for grape growth and the quality is also improving." Pan Weizheng, head of the base, said that the sunshine roses he planted also won the gold medal of the 2020 National Quality Sunshine Rose Grape Quality Selection.
Tenghui Family Farm in Pujiang County, located in Hongshan Village, Tanxi Town, is located where the demonstration base for rapid fertilizer cultivation of new cultivated land is located. As soon as you walk into the demonstration base, you can see a large area of rice fields.
"The quality of the cultivated land here before the improvement is 6, which greatly affects crop growth." Ma Junwei, director of the Institute of Environmental Resources and Soil and Fertilizer, said.
According to reports, the demonstration base has 3 display areas of formula fertilizer + organic fertilizer, formula fertilizer + organic fertilizer + humic acid + soil conditioner, formula fertilizer + organic fertilizer + biological fertilizer + soil conditioner, and 10 test areas including blank control.
"Compared with the blank control treatment, the three treatments of chemical fertilizer, chemical fertilizer + organic fertilizer, chemical fertilizer + organic fertilizer + humic acid + soil conditioner in the newly reclaimed cultivated land significantly increased the organic matter content of the soil during the rice growing season, reaching 1.50%, 1.89% and 3.92% respectively." Compared with the soil pH (5.32) of the blank control treatment, the pure fertilizer treatment would reduce the soil pH (5.19), while the two treatments of fertilizer + organic fertilizer, fertilizer + organic fertilizer + humic acid + soil conditioner would significantly increase the soil pH, which was 5.57 and 5.71, respectively. Ma Junwei introduced that the mode of chemical fertilizer + organic fertilizer + humic acid + soil conditioner can also improve soil fertility and improve rice yield.
The preliminary yield measurement results of the demonstration base show that the theoretical yield of rice treated by rapid fertilization technology is up to 834kg/mu, which is more than 20% higher than that of conventional fertilization treatment, and the quality level of cultivated land is increased by 2 grades.
"Next, the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences will focus on the basic research of cultivated land quality and healthy soil cultivation application for the frontier of cultivated land science at home and abroad, focus on healthy soil cultivation, farmland production capacity improvement and ecological function restoration, develop key technologies and product equipment for soil barrier factor reduction and farmland quality improvement, and actively carry out farmland quality protection and improvement of achievement transformation and technical services."
