In 2021, in the National Vocational College Skills Competition, students of Baotou Machinery Industry Vocational School won the first, second and third prizes in hydraulic and pneumatic, elevator maintenance, welding technology and other competitions. In order to achieve such a goal, the school has built an industrial chain "four-dimensional docking" intelligent manufacturing professional group talent training model around the requirements of "Made in China 2025" and closely combined with the pillar industries of the local economy and the new advantageous industries. While creating a professional group, the school adheres to the modern vocational education governance concept of "integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, combination of engineering and learning, and integration of practice and knowledge", purposefully and deeply docks with large-scale state-owned intelligent manufacturing enterprises in the autonomous region such as Ruite Precision Mould Co., Ltd. and Beiben Heavy Duty Vehicle Co., Ltd., and establishes school-enterprise cooperative relations with large enterprises outside the autonomous region such as Huazhong CNC Group, Shanghai General Motors Group, Haier Group, etc., forming a coordination between the school and the diversified subjects of enterprises. Thanks to this teaching model, the school's welding profession has gradually shifted from traditional manual welding to robotic welding.

Feng Chenhui, who graduated in 2016, won the title of "National Technical Expert" in 2021. After graduating in 2019, Cai Chunbo joined the First Machine Group Ruite Precision Mould Co., Ltd., and participated in the research and development and production of mask machines in 2020.
