If LaVine is named to the Best Team, he will receive a five-year, 235 million super contract this summer

The Bulls beat the Thunder 123-102, with Zach Lavin scoring 40 points on 15-of-20 shooting and 7-of-12 three-pointers in 31 minutes.

ESPN salary expert Bobby Marks tweets: As a reminder, Zach LaVine will qualify for a super contract if he is selected to the best team this season.

LaVine was traded on a rookie contract, not in a second contract like Anthony Davis and Kavaj Leonard, so he still has super contract qualifications.

LaVine will have 7 years of experience after playing this season and his current contract will expire in 2021-22. According to the regulations, LaVine can get an early renewal of the 10-year senior salary in the offseason this year, that is, a 35% starting salary contract.

Based on the expected salary cap of 115.7 million for the 2022-23 season, that is a starting salary of $40.495 million, with a total value of $235 million over five years.

This season, LaVine has averaged 28.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 52.9% from the field. He averaged 3.6 three-pointers per game and shot 44.1 percent from the field, while shooting a staggering 65.3 percent from the field.
